Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4914
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbidding the use of earthenware and gourd utensils. The narrator says that I also heard this hadith from Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) with the addition that if no other utensil was available in which to make nabidh, then it would be made for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a stone vessel.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو مٹکے اور کدو کے برتن کو استعمال کر نے سے منع فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے بھی یہ حدیث اس اضافے کے ساتھ سنی ہے کہ اگر کوئی ایسا برتن نہ ملتا جس میں نبیذ بنائی جا سکے تو نبی ﷺ کے لئے پتھر کے برتن میں نبیذ بنا لی جاتی تھی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko matke aur kaddu ke bartan ko istemal karne se mana farmate hue suna hai, ravi kehte hain ki maine Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bhi ye hadees is izafe ke sath suni hai ki agar koi aisa bartan nahin milta jis mein nabiz banai ja sake to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye pathar ke bartan mein nabiz banai jati thi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَنْهَى عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ. قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ: وَسَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ شَيْئًا يُنْبَذُ لَهُ فِيهِ، نُبِذَ لَهُ فِي تَوْرٍ مِنْ حِجَارَةٍ".
