Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4961
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about a man who finds water in the wilderness where animals and beasts also come to drink. Is it permissible to perform ablution with it? I heard that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the water is equal to two large pots, it does not carry filth (filth does not affect it)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ کسی نے نبی ﷺ سے یہ مسئلہ پوچھا کہ اگر جنگل میں انسان کو ایسا پانی ملے جہاں جانور اور درندے بھی آتے ہوں تو کیا اس سے وضو کیا جا سکتا ہے؟ میں نے سنا کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب پانی دو مٹکوں کے برابر ہو تو وہ گندگی کو نہیں اٹھاتا (اس میں گندگی سرایت نہیں کر تی)۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba kisi ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se ye masla poocha ki agar jungle mein insaan ko aisa pani mile jahan janwar aur darinde bhi aate hon to kya us se wazu kiya ja sakta hai? Maine suna ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Jab pani do matkon ke barabar ho to wo gandagi ko nahin uthata (is mein gandagi sarayat nahin karti).”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْفلاَةِ وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَالسِّبَاعِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قَدْرَ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يَحْمِلْ الْخَبَثَ".
