Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4992
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Maghrib prayer is the Witr of the day, so you should also offer the Witr of the night."
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”مغرب کی نماز دن کا وتر ہیں سو تم رات کا وتر بھی ادا کیا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Maghrib ki namaz din ka witr hain so tum raat ka witr bhi ada kiya karo."
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" صَلَاةُ الْمَغْرِبِ وِتْرُ النَّهَارِ، فَأَوْتِرُوا صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ".
