Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5178
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said, "I prayed two rak'ahs with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Mina, and with the two Sheikhs (Abu Bakr and Umar) (may Allah be pleased with them), and with Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) in the early days of his caliphate I also prayed two rak'ahs. Later, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) started praying it in full."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ منیٰ میں دو رکعتیں پڑھی ہیں، حضرات شیخین رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ اور سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے ابتدائی ایام خلافت میں ان کے ساتھ بھی دو رکعتیں ہی پڑھی ہیں، بعد میں سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے اسے مکمل کرنا شروع کر دیا تھا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Mina mein do rakaten padhi hain, Hazrat Sheikhine ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke sath aur Sayyidna Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke ibtidai ayyam khilafat mein unke sath bhi do rakaten hi padhi hain, baad mein Sayyidna Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne use mukammal karna shuru kar diya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَمَعَ عُمَرَ، وعُثْمَانَ صَدْرًا مِنْ إِمَارَتِهِ، ثُمَّ أَتَمَّ".
