Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5264
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that it is an innovation for you to raise your hands (in prayer), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not raise his hands past his chest.
Grade: Da'if
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ تمہارا رفع یدین کرنا بدعت ہے، نبی ﷺ نے سینے سے آگے ہاتھ نہیں بڑھائے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki tumhara rafa yadayn karna bidat hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne seene se aage hath nahi barhaye.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ:" إِنَّ رَفْعَكُمْ أَيْدِيَكُمْ بِدْعَةٌ، مَا زَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا"، يَعْنِي: إِلَى الصَّدْرِ.
