Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5272
Someone once asked Salim, may Allah have mercy on him, about a man who divorces his wife during her menstrual period. He said that this is not permissible. Sayyidina Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, had also divorced his wife during her menstrual period, so the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered him to take her back. So, he took his wife back.

سالم رحمہ اللہ سے ایک مرتبہ کسی شخص نے پوچھا جو ایام کی حالت میں اپنی بیوی کو طلاق دے دے، تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ یہ جائز نہیں ہے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی اپنے بیوی کو ایام کی حالت میں طلاق دے دی تھی تو نبی ﷺ نے انہیں رجوع کر لینے کا حکم دیا تھا چنانچہ انہوں نے اپنی بیوی سے رجوع کر لیا تھا۔
Salem rehmatullah alaih se aik martaba kisi shakhs ne poocha jo ayaam ki halat mein apni biwi ko talaq de de, to unhon ne farmaya keh yeh jaiz nahi hai, sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah tala anhuma ne bhi apne biwi ko ayaam ki halat mein talaq de di thi to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ruju kar lene ka hukm diya tha chunancha unhon ne apni biwi se ruju kar liya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ ، سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا ، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ، فَقَالَ: لَا يَجُوزُ، طَلَّقَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ،" فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا"، فَرَاجَعَهَا.
