Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5338
Ubaid bin Jarir said: Once I said to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "I see you doing four things that I don't see anyone else among your companions doing." He asked, "What are those?" I said, "I see that you only touch the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, not any other corner (of the Kaaba). I see you wearing shoes made of dyed leather. And I see that you dye your beard. And I see that when you are in Makkah, people recite the Talbiyah as soon as they sight the moon (of Dhul-Hijjah), but you do not recite the Talbiyah until the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah?" Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "As for kissing the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, I only saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) touching these two corners. He did not touch any other corner besides these two. As for wearing shoes made of dyed leather, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself wore such shoes, and he would perform ablution while wearing them, and he liked them. As for dyeing the beard, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dyeing his beard. And as for entering the state of Ihram, I did not see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entering Ihram until the mount had moved off with him."

عبید ابن جریج کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا کہ آپ کو چار ایسے کام کرتے ہوئے دیکھتا ہوں جو میں آپ کے ساتھیوں میں آپ کے علاوہ کسی اور کو کرتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھتا، انہوں نے پوچھا کہ وہ کون سے کام ہیں؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ آپ صرف رکن یمانی اور حجر اسود کا استلام کرتے ہیں،کسی اور رکن کا استلام نہیں کرتے، میں آپ کو رنگی ہوئی کھالوں کی جوتیاں پہنے ہوئے دیکھتا ہوں، اور میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ آپ اپنی داڑھی کو رنگین کرتے ہیں؟ اور میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ جب آپ مکہ مکرمہ میں ہوتے ہیں تو لوگ چاند دیکھتے ہی تلبیہ پڑھ لیتے ہیں اور آپ اس وقت تک تلبیہ نہیں پڑھتے جب تک ذی الحجہ کی آٹھویں تاریخ نہ آ جائے؟ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ رکن یمانی اور حجر اسود ہی کو بوسہ دینے کی جو بات ہے تو میں نے نبی ﷺ کو صرف انہی دو کونوں کا استلام کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، نبی ﷺ ان دونوں کے علاوہ کسی کونے کا استلام نہیں فرماتے تھے، رنگی ہوئی کھال کی جوتیاں پہننے کی جو بات ہے تو خود نبی ﷺ نے بھی ایسی جوتی پہنی ہے، اسے پہن کر آپ ﷺ وضو بھی فرما لیتے تھے اور اسے پسند کرتے تھے، داڑھی کو رنگنے کا جو مسئلہ ہے، سو میں نے نبی ﷺ کو بھی داڑھی رنگتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے اور احرام باندھنے کی جو بات ہے تو میں نے نبی ﷺ کو اس وقت احرام باندھتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھاجب تک سواری آپ ﷺ کو لے کر روانہ نہیں ہو جاتی تھی۔
Ubaid Ibn Jarir kahte hain ki aik martaba maine Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se arz kiya ki aap ko chaar aise kaam karte huye dekhta hun jo main aap ke sathion mein aap ke ilawa kisi aur ko karte huye nahin dekhta, unhon ne pucha ki wo kon se kaam hain? Maine arz kiya ki main dekhta hun ki aap sirf Rukn Yamani aur Hajar Aswad ka istalaam karte hain, kisi aur Rukn ka istalaam nahin karte, main aap ko rangi hui khalon ki jootiyan pehne huye dekhta hun, aur main dekhta hun ki aap apni darhi ko rangin karte hain? Aur main dekhta hun ki jab aap Makkah Mukarramah mein hote hain to log chand dekhte hi talbiyah parh lete hain aur aap us waqt tak talbiyah nahin parhte jab tak Zul Hijjah ki aathvi tareekh na aa jaye? Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki Rukn Yamani aur Hajar Aswad hi ko bosa dene ki jo baat hai to maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko sirf inhi do konon ka istalaam karte huye dekha hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in donon ke ilawa kisi kone ka istalaam nahin farmate the, rangi hui khal ki jootiyan pehenne ki jo baat hai to khud Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bhi aisi jooti pehni hai, ise pehen kar aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wazu bhi farmalete the aur ise pasand karte the, darhi ko rangne ka jo masla hai, so maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bhi darhi rangte huye dekha hai aur ehraam bandhne ki jo baat hai to maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko us waqt ehraam bandhte huye nahin dekha jab tak sawari aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko lekar rawana nahin ho jati thi.
قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ أَرَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ مَنْ يَصْنَعُهَا! قَالَ: مَا هُنَّ يَا ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ؟ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُكَ لَا تَمَسُّ مِنَ الْأَرْكَانِ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَصْبُغُ بِالصُّفْرَةِ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ بِمَكَّةَ أَهَلَّ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْهِلَالَ، وَلَمْ تُهْلِلْ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ! فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ :" أَمَّا الْأَرْكَانُ: فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمَسُّ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ، وَأَمَّا النِّعَالُ السِّبْتِيَّةُ: فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا، فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا، وَأَمَّا الصُّفْرَةُ: فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْبُغُ بِهَا، فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَصْبُغَ بِهَا، وَأَمَّا الْإِهْلَالُ: فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَنْبَعِثَ بِهِ نَاقَتُهُ".
