Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5379
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that two men came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with their dispute. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the plaintiff for witnesses. He had no witnesses. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the defendant to take an oath. He swore by saying, "By Allah, besides Whom there is no deity!" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You have sworn an oath, but by the blessings of the sincerity in your saying 'La ilaha illallah' all your sins are forgiven."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما مروی ہے کہ دو آدمی نبی ﷺ کے پاس اپنا جھگڑا لے کر آئے، نبی ﷺ نے مدعی سے گواہوں کا تقاضا کیا، اس کے پاس گواہ نہیں تھے، اس لئے نبی ﷺ نے مدعی علیہ سے قسم کا مطالبہ کیا، اس نے یوں قسم کھائی کہ اس اللہ کی قسم! جس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ تم نے قسم کھالی لیکن تمہارے «لا اله الا الله» کہنے میں اخلاص کی برکت سے تمہارے سارے گناہ معاف ہو گئے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a marvi hai ki do aadmi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas apna jhagda lekar aaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne muddai se gawahon ka taqaaza kiya, uske paas gawah nahi the, is liye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne muddai Alaih se qasam ka mutalba kiya, usne yun qasam khai ke is Allah ki qasam! Jis ke ilawa koi mabood nahi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki tumne qasam khali lekin tumhare «La ilaha illallah» kahne mein ikhlas ki barkat se tumhare sare gunah maaf ho gaye.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ اخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَأَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُدَّعِيَ الْبَيِّنَةَ، فَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ بَيِّنَةٌ، فَاسْتَحْلَفَ الْمَطْلُوبَ، فَحَلَفَ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَنْتَ قَدْ فَعَلْتَ، وَلَكِنْ غُفِرَ لَكَ بِإِخْلَاصِكَ قَوْلَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ".
