Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5465
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade taking the Holy Quran while traveling to enemy territory.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے دشمن کے علاقے میں سفر پر جاتے وقت قرآن کریم اپنے ساتھ لے جانے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne dushman ke ilaqay mein safar per jatay waqt Quran e Kareem apne sath le janay se mana farmaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَنْهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْمُصْحَفِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ".
