Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5468
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not prevent your women from coming to the mosque, although their homes are better for them." Hearing this, a son of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We will prevent them." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I am narrating to you the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and you are saying this?".

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”تم اپنے اہل خانہ کو مسجد آنے سے نہ روکا کرو، البتہ ان کے گھر ان کے حق میں زیادہ بہتر ہیں“، یہ سن کر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا کوئی بیٹا کہنے لگا کہ ہم تو انہیں روکیں گے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ میں تم سے نبی ﷺ کی حدیث بیان کر رہا ہوں اور تم یہ کہہ رہے ہو؟“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Tum apne ahl khana ko masjid aane se na roka karo, albatta un ke ghar un ke haq mein zyada behtar hain", yeh sun kar Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka koi beta kehne laga ki hum to unhen rokain ge, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki main tum se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki hadees bayan kar raha hun aur tum yeh keh rahe ho?".
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" لَا تَمْنَعُوا نِسَاءَكُمْ الْمَسَاجِدَ، وَبُيُوتُهُنَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُنَّ"، قَالَ: فَقَالَ ابْنٌ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: بَلَى، وَاللَّهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ! فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: تَسْمَعُنِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ مَا تَقُولُ؟!.
