Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5657
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would sit for a short while between the two sermons of Friday.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جمعہ کے دونوں خطبوں کے درمیان ذرا سا وقفہ کر کے بیٹھ جاتے تھے۔“

حَدَّثَنَا قُرَادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ" يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ".
