Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5726
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on Friday and would sit for a while between the two.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جمعہ کے دن دو خطبے ارشاد فرماتے تھے اور ان دونوں کے درمیان کچھ دیر بیٹھتے بھی تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ يَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا مَرَّةً".
