Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5743
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks refuge in the name of Allah, grant him refuge; whoever asks you in the name of Allah, give him; whoever does good to you, then reciprocate; and if you have nothing to give in return, then pray for him so much that you feel that you have reciprocated; and whoever seeks your protection, grant him protection."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص اللہ کے نام پر پناہ مانگے اسے پناہ دے دو، جو شخص اللہ کے نام پر سوال کرے اسے عطاء کر دو، جو تمہارے ساتھ بھلائی کرے اس کا بدلہ دو، اگربدلہ میں دینے کے لئے کچھ نہ ملے تو اس کے لئے اتنی دعائیں کرو کہ تمہیں یقین ہو جائے کہ تم نے اس کا بدلہ اتار دیا ہے اور جو شخص تمہاری پناہ میں آئے، اسے پناہ دے دو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs Allah ke naam par panah mange use panah de do, jo shakhs Allah ke naam par sawal kare use ataa kar do, jo tumhare sath bhalayi kare us ka badla do, agar badle mein dene ke liye kuchh na mile to us ke liye itni duayein karo ki tumhen yaqeen ho jaye ki tumne us ka badla utaar diya hai aur jo shakhs tumhari panah mein aaye, use panah de do.“.
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" مَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ، وَمَنْ اسْتَعَاذَكُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ، وَمَنْ أَتَى إِلَيْكُمْ مَعْرُوفًا فَكَافِئُوهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا مَا تُكَافِئُوهُ، فَادْعُوا لَهُ حَتَّى تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ قَدْ كَافَأْتُمُوهُ، وَمَنْ اسْتَجَارَكُمْ فَأَجِيرُوهُ".
