Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5760
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to do Ramal (hasten the pace) between the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner, and he would tell us that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do the same. And he (the Prophet) would walk at a normal pace between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone so that it would be easier for him to touch it (the Black Stone)."

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے حجر اسود سے حجر اسود تک رمل کرتے تھے اور ہمیں بتاتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ بھی اسی طرح کرتے تھے اور وہ رکن یمانی اور حجر اسود کے درمیان عام رفتار سے چلتے تھے تاکہ استلام کرنے میں آسانی ہو سکے۔
Nafay rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se hajar aswad se hajar aswad tak ramal karte thay aur humain batate thay ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi isi tarah karte thay aur woh rukn yamani aur hajar aswad ke darmiyan aam raftar se chalte thay taake istalaam karne mein aasani ho sake.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ :" يَرْمُلُ مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ"، وَيُخْبِرُنَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ: فَذَكَرُوا لِنَافِعٍ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَمْشِي مَا بَيْنَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ؟ قَالَ:" مَا كَانَ يَمْشِي إِلَّا حِينَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَلِمَ".
