Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5766
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any of you is invited to a Walima (wedding feast), he should attend it." And Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to accept the invitation, whether he was fasting or not.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کسی کو دعوت ولیمہ دی جائے تو اسے اس میں شرکت کر نی چاہیے اور سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بھی دعوت قبول کر لیتے تھے خواہ روزے سے ہوتے یا نہ ہوتے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab tum mein se kisi ko dawat-e-walima di jaye to use is mein shirkat karni chahie" aur Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a bhi dawat qubool kar lete the chahe roze se hote ya na hote.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الدَّعْوَةِ، فَلْيُجِبْ"، أَوْ قَالَ" فَلْيَأْتِهَا"، قَالَ: وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: يُجِيبُ صَائِمًا وَمُفْطِرًا.
