Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5811
Yasar, the freed slave of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "Once Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw me praying after the rise of dawn. He asked me, 'O Yasar! How many rak'ahs did you pray?' I replied, 'I don't remember.' He said, 'May you not remember! Once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us while we were praying like this, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Inform those who are present and those who are absent that there is no prayer after the rise of dawn except for two rak'ahs.'"

یسار ”جو کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے آزاد کر دہ غلام ہیں“ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے مجھے طلوع فجر کے بعد نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا تو فرمانے لگے: اے یسار! تم نے کتنی رکعتیں پڑھیں؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ یاد نہیں، فرمایا: تجھے یاد نہ رہے، نبی ﷺ بھی ایک مرتبہ اس وقت تشریف لائے تھے اور ہم اسی طرح نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”حاضرین غائبین کو یہ پیغام پہنچا دیں کہ طلوع فجر کے بعد دو رکعتوں کے علاوہ کوئی نماز نہیں ہے۔“
Yasir jo keh Saidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke azad kardah gulam hain kehte hain ke ek martaba Saidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne mujhe talua fajr ke bad namaz parhte hue dekha to farmane lage: Ae Yasir! tum ne kitni rakat parhin? mein ne arz kya ke yaad nahin, farmaya: tujhe yaad na rahe, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi ek martaba is waqt tashrif laaye the aur hum isi tarah namaz parh rahe the to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: hazireen gaaibiin ko yeh paigham pahuncha dein ke talua fajr ke bad do rak'aton ke ilawa koi namaz nahin hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , عَنْ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: رَآنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ , وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي بَعْدَمَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ، فَقَالَ: يَا يَسَارُ، كَمْ صَلَّيْتَ؟ قُلْتُ: لَا أَدْرِي! قَالَ: لَا دَرَيْتَ! إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا لِيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ أَنْ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ إِلَّا سَجْدَتَانِ".
