Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5817
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once saw a dream in which he saw Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). He said, "I saw that people were gathered, Abu Bakr stood up and he drew one or two buckets but there was some weakness in it, may Allah forgive him. Then Umar drew from the bucket and it became a large bucket in his hand. I have never seen any intelligent man fill buckets like him until he quenched the thirst of the people."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ خواب میں سیدنا ابوبکر و عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو دیکھا، فرمایا:”میں نے دیکھا کہ لوگ جمع ہیں، ابوبکر کھڑے ہوئے اور انہوں نے ایک یا دو ڈول کھینچے لیکن اس میں کچھ کمزوری تھی، اللہ تعالیٰ ان کی بخشش فرمائے، پھر عمر نے ڈول کھینچے اور وہ ان کے ہاتھ میں آ کر بڑا ڈول بن گیا، میں نے کسی عبقری انسان کو ان کی طرح ڈول بھرتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا یہاں تک کہ انہوں نے لوگوں کو سیراب کر دیا۔“
Saina Ibne Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne ek martaba khwab mein Saina Abubakar o Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma ko dekha, farmaya:”Mein ne dekha ki log jama hain, Abubakar kharay huye aur unhon ne ek ya do dol khecnhe lekin us mein kuch kamzori thi, Allah Taala un ki baqshish farmaye, phir Umar ne dol khecnhe aur wo un ke hath mein aa kar bada dol ban gaya, mein ne kisi abqari insan ko un ki tarah dol bharte huye nahin dekha yahan tak ki unhon ne logon ko serab kar diya.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ رُؤْيَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرَ، قَالَ:" رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ اجْتَمَعُوا، فَقَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ، وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ، وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ ابْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، فَاسْتَحَالَتْ غَرْبًا، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنَ النَّاسِ يَفْرِي فَرِيَّهُ، حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ".
