Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5848
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once appointed Sayyidna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of some people. People objected to his leadership. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know about it, he stood up and said: “If you are objecting to his leadership, then this is not a new thing. Before this, you have also objected to the leadership of his father, although, by Allah! he was deserving of leadership and was the most beloved to me among the people, and now his son is the most beloved to me after him. Therefore, accept my advice to treat him well, for he is the best companion of yours.” Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) while narrating this Hadith, would always exclude Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک موقع پر سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ کو کچھ لوگوں کا امیر مقرر کیا، لوگوں نے ان کی امارت پر اعتراض کیا، نبی ﷺ کو پتہ چلا تو کھڑے ہو کر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر تم اس کی امارت پر اعتراض کر رہے تو یہ کوئی نئی بات نہیں ہے، اس سے پہلے تم اس کے باپ کی امارت پر بھی اعتراض کر چکے ہو، حالانکہ اللہ کی قسم! وہ امارت کا حقدار تھا اور لوگوں میں مجھے سب سے زیادہ محبوب تھا اور اب اس کا یہ بیٹا اس کے بعد مجھے سب سے زیادہ محبوب ہے، لہٰذا اس کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کر نے کی وصیت قبول کرو،کیونکہ یہ تمہارا بہترین ساتھ ہے۔“ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اس حدیث کو بیان کرتے وقت ہمیشہ سیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا استثناء کر لیتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne aik mauqe par Sayyidna Usama bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko kuch logon ka ameer muqarrar kya, logon ne un ki amarat par aitraz kya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko pata chala to kharay ho kar Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Agar tum us ki amarat par aitraz kar rahe ho to ye koi nayi baat nahi hai, is se pehle tum us ke baap ki amarat par bhi aitraz kar chuke ho, halan ki Allah ki qasam! woh amarat ka haqdar tha aur logon mein mujhe sab se zyada mahboob tha aur ab is ka ye beta us ke baad mujhe sab se zyada mahboob hai, lihaza is ke sath acha sulook karne ki wasiyat qubool karo, kyunki ye tumhara behtarin sath hai." حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْمَعُهُ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَّرَ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ عَابُوا أُسَامَةَ، وَطَعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ كَمَا حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ:" أَلَا إِنَّكُمْ تَعِيبُونَ أُسَامَةَ، وَتَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، وَقَدْ فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ بِأَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَخَلِيقًا لِلْإِمَارَةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَأَحَبَّ النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ إِلَيَّ، وَإِنَّ ابْنَهُ هَذَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ، فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِهِ خَيْرًا، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ خِيَارِكُمْ"، قَالَ سَالِمٌ: مَا سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ قَطُّ , إِلَّا قَالَ: مَا حَاشَا فَاطِمَةَ.
