Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5880
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah is One and He loves odd numbers." Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that this is why Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pay attention to odd numbers.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اللہ طاق ہے، طاق عدد کو پسند کرتا ہے“، نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسی وجہ سے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما طاق عدد کا خیال رکھتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ"، قَالَ نَافِعٌ: وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَا يَصْنَعُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا وِتْرًا.
