Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5894
Saeed bin Abi Saeed Maqburi narrated from Ubaid bin Juraij that he said to Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! I have seen you doing four things that I have not seen any other companion of yours doing." Ibn Umar said, "O Ibn Juraij! What are those (four things)?" Ibn Juraij said, "I have seen you not touching any corner of the (Kaaba) except the two Yemeni corners, I have seen you wearing Subti (dyed, clean leather) shoes. (Also, I have seen you dyeing (clothes) with yellow dye, and I have seen that when you are in Makkah, people start reciting Talbiyah as soon as they see the first moon (of Dhul-Hijjah), but you do not recite Talbiyah until the eighth day arrives)." Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, replied, "As for the corners (of the Kaaba), I have not seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, touching (any corner) except the two Yemeni corners. As for Subti shoes, I have indeed seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wearing such shoes that had no hair on them. He used to perform ablution while wearing them, (therefore) I like to wear these (Subti shoes). As for the yellow dye, I have indeed seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, using this (color). So, I like to use this color too. And as for the Talbiyah, I did not hear him (the Prophet) reciting Talbiyah until his ride was brought to him and he mounted it."

سعید بن ابی سعید مقبری نے عبید بن جریج سے روایت کی کہ انھوں نے عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہا اے ابو عبد الرحمٰن !میں نے آپ کو چا ر ( ایسے ) کام کرتے دیکھا ہے جو آپ کے کسی اور ساتھی کو کرتے نہیں دیکھا ۔ ابن عمر نے کہا : ابن جریج !وہ کو ن سے ( چار کام ) ہیں ؟ ابن جریج نے کہا : میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ ( بیت اللہ کے ) دو یما نی رکنوں ( کونوں ) کے سوا اور کسی رکن کو ہاتھ نہیں لگا تے ، میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے سبتی ( رنگے ہو ئے صاف چمڑے کے ) جو تے پہنتے ہیں ۔ ( نیز آپ کو دیکھا کہ زرد رنگ سے ( کپڑوں کو ) رنگتے یں اور آپ کو دیکھا ہے کہ جب آپ مکہ میں ہو تے ہیں تو لو گ ( ذوالحجہ کی ) پہلی کا چا ند دیکھتے ہی لبیک پکار نا شروع کر دیتے ہیں لیکن آپ آٹھویں کا دن آنے تک تلبیہ نہیں پکا رتے ۔ عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے جواب دیا : جہا ں تک ارکان ( بیت اللہ کے کونوں ) کی بات ہے تو میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو دو یمنی رکنوں کے سوا ( کسی اور رکن کو ) ہاتھ لگا تے نہیں دیکھا ۔ رہے سبتی جو تے تو بلا شبہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو ایسے جو تے پہنے دیکھا کہ جن پر بال نہ ہو تے تھے آپ انھیں پہن کر وضو فر ما تے ( لہٰذا ) مجھے پسند ہے کہ میں یہی ( سبتی جو تے ) پہنوں ۔ رہا زرد رنگ تو بلا شبہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو دیکھا آپ یہ ( رنگ ) استعمال کرتے تھے ۔ اس لیے میں پسند کرتا ہوں کہ میں بھی اس رنگ کو استعمال کروں ۔ اور رہی بات تلبیہ ( لبیک کہتے نہیں سنا جب تک آپ کی سواری آپ کو لے کر کھڑی نہ ہو جا تی ۔
Saeed bin Abi Saeed Muqabri ne Ubaid bin Jarir se riwayat ki keh unhon ne Abdullah bin Umar Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu se kaha aye Abu Abdur Rahman! Maine aap ko chaar (aese) kaam karte dekha hai jo aap ke kisi aur saathi ko karte nahin dekha. Ibn Umar ne kaha: Ibn Jarir! Woh kon se (chaar kaam) hain? Ibn Jarir ne kaha: Maine aap ko dekha hai keh aap (Baitullah ke) do Yamani ruknon (konon) ke siwa aur kisi rukun ko haath nahin lagaate, maine aap ko dekha hai subti (range hue saaf chamade ke) joote pehnte hain. (Niz aap ko dekha keh zard rang se (kapdon ko) rangte hain aur aap ko dekha hai keh jab aap Makkah mein hote hain to log (Zul-Hijjah ki) pehli ka chaand dekhte hi labbaik pukarna shuru kar dete hain lekin aap aathwein ka din aane tak talbiyah nahin pukarte. Abdullah bin Umar Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu ne jawab diya: Jahan tak arkaan (Baitullah ke konon) ki baat hai to maine Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko do Yamani ruknon ke siwa (kisi aur rukun ko) haath lagate nahin dekha. Rahe subti joote to bila shuba maine Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko aese joote pehne dekha keh jin par baal na hote the aap unhen pehen kar wuzu farmaate (lihaaza) mujhe pasand hai keh main yahi (subti joote) pehnoon. Raha zard rang to bila shuba maine Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha aap yeh (rang) istemaal karte the. Is liye main pasand karta hun keh main bhi is rang ko istemaal karoon. Aur rahi baat talbiyah (labbaik) kehte nahin suna jab tak aap ki sawari aap ko lekar khadi na ho jaati.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ يَصْنَعُهَا، قَالَ: مَا هِيَ يَا ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ؟ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُكَ لَا تَمَسُّ مِنَ الْأَرْكَانِ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَصْبُغُ بِالصُّفْرَةِ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ بِمَكَّةَ أَهَلَّ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْهِلَالَ، وَلَمْ تُهْلِلْ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ :" أَمَّا الْأَرْكَانُ، فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمَسُّ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ، وَأَمَّا النِّعَالُ، فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا وَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا، وَأَمَّا الصُّفْرَةُ، فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْبُغُ بِهَا، وَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَصْبُغَ بِهَا، وَأَمَّا الْإِهْلَالُ، فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَنْبَعِثَ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ".
