Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6042
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the three Khaleefahs after him would walk in front of the funeral.

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرُ , وَعُثْمَانُ ," يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجِنَازَةِ".
