Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6087

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), most probably in a Marfoo' form, that whoever says "Insha'Allah" while taking an oath, then he has the choice, if he wishes to fulfill his oath, then he may do so and if he wants to retract from it, he may retract without incurring any sin of breaking the oath.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے غالباً مرفوعاً مروی ہے کہ جو شخص قسم کھاتے وقت انشاء اللہ کہہ لے اسے اختیار ہے اگر اپنی قسم پوری کرنا چاہئے تو کر لے اور اگر اس سے رجوع کرنا چاہے تو حانث ہوئے بغیر رجوع کر لے۔

Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se ghaliban marfooan marvi hai ke jo shakhs qasam khate waqt Insha Allah keh le use ikhtiyar hai agar apni qasam puri karna chahe to kar le aur agar us se rujoo karna chahe to hanis huye baghair rujoo kar le.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" إِذَا حَلَفَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَقَالَ: إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ، إِنْ شَاءَ فَعَلَ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ".
