Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6124
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade taking the Holy Quran to enemy territory during travel, saying: "Because there is a fear that it might fall into the hands of the enemy."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے دشمن کے علاقے میں قرآن سفر پر جاتے وقت قرآن کریم اپنے ساتھ لے جانے سے منع فرمایا: ہے کیونکہ اندیشہ ہے کہ کہیں وہ دشمن کے ہاتھ نہ لگ جائے۔
Sayydena Ibne Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai ki Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne dushman ke ilaqay mein Quran safar per jatay waqt Quran Kareem apne sath le janay se mana farmaya: hai kyunki andesha hai ki kahin wo dushman ke hath na lag jaye.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي قُرَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ".
