Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6125
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade people from fasting continuously for several days with only one Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) during the month of Ramadan. They said, "But you fast continuously for several days!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "I am not like you. I am provided for and given drink by Allah."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے رمضان کے مہینے میں ایک ہی سحری سے مسلسل کئی روزے رکھنے سے لوگوں کو روکا تو وہ کہنے لگے کہ آپ ہمیں تو مسلسل کئی دن کا روزہ رکھنے سے منع کر رہے ہیں اور خود رکھ رہے ہیں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں مجھے تو اللہ کی طرف سے کھلا پلا دیا جاتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Ramzan ke mahine mein ek hi sehri se musalsal kai roze rakhne se logon ko roka to wo kahne lage ki aap humain to musalsal kai din ka roza rakhne se mana kar rahe hain aur khud rakh rahe hain? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: mein tumhari tarah nahin hun mujhe to Allah ki taraf se khila pila diya jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" نَهَى عَنِ الْوِصَالِ" , فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! قَالَ:" إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَهَيْئَتِكُمْ، إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى".
