Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6126
Mujaahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said, “Once, I and 'Urwah ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the mosque. We went to Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) and sat with him. Some people were praying Chast prayer there. We asked him, 'O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, what prayer is this?' He replied, 'It's a newly invented prayer.' We asked him, 'How many Umrahs did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform?' He said, 'Four, and one of them was in Rajab.' We felt shy to contradict him. However, at the same time, we heard the voice of Umm al-Mu'minin, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so 'Urwah ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) said to her, 'O Umm al-Mu'minin, did you hear what Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said? He is saying that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed four Umrahs, and one of them was in Rajab.' She said, 'May Allah have mercy on Abu 'Abd al-Rahman. Whatever Umrah the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed, he (Ibn 'Umar) participated in it, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not perform any Umrah in Rajab.'”

مجاہدرحمتہ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اور عروہ بن زبیر رحمہ اللہ مسجد میں داخل ہوئے ہم لوگ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس پہنچے اور ان کے پاس بیٹھ گئے وہاں کچھ لوگ چاشت کی نماز پڑھ رہے تھے ہم نے ان سے پوچھا اے ابوعبدالرحمن یہ کیسی نماز ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: نو ایجاد ہے ہم نے ان سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ نے کتنے عمرے کئے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: چار جن میں سے ایک رجب میں بھی تھا ہمیں ان کی بات کی ترید کرتے ہوئے شرم آئی البتہ اسی وقت ہم نے ام المؤمنین سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے مسواک کرنے کی آواز سنی تو عروہ بن زبیر رحمہ اللہ نے ان سے کہا اے ام المؤمنین کیا آپ نے ابو عبدالرحمن کی بات سنی؟ وہ فرما رہے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے چار عمرے کئے ہیں جن میں سے ایک رجب میں تھا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ ابوعبدالرحمن پر رحم فرمائے نبی ﷺ نے جو عمرہ بھی کیا وہ اس میں شریک رہے ہیں اور نبی ﷺ نے رجب میں کوئی عمرہ نہیں فرمایا:۔
Mujahid rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ki ek martaba main aur Urwa bin Zubair rehmatullah alaih masjid mein dakhil huye hum log Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke pass pahunche aur unke pass beth gaye wahan kuch log chast ki namaz padh rahe the humne unse puchha aye Abuabdurrehman ye kaisi namaz hai unhonne farmaya: Nau ijad hai humne unse puchha ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kitne umre kiye the unhonne farmaya: Chaar jin mein se ek Rajab mein bhi tha humein unki baat ki tareed karte huye sharm aayi albatta usi waqt humne Ummulmomineen Sayyida Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ke muskaraane ki aawaz suni to Urwa bin Zubair rehmatullah alaih ne unse kaha aye Ummulmomineen kya aapne Abuabdurrehman ki baat suni wo farma rahe hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chaar umre kiye hain jin mein se ek Rajab mein tha unhonne farmaya: Allah ta'ala Abuabdurrehman par raham farmaye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jo umra bhi kiya wo usme sharik rahe hain aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Rajab mein koi umra nahin farmaya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، فَجَالَسْنَاهُ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا رِجَالٌ يُصَلُّونَ الضُّحَى، فَقُلْنَا: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ فَقَالَ: بِدْعَةٌ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: كَمْ اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: أَرْبَعًا، إِحْدَاهُنَّ فِي رَجَبٍ، قَالَ: فَاسْتَحْيَيْنَا أَنْ نَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَسَمِعْنَا اسْتِنَانَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَلَا تَسْمَعِي مَا يَقُولُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؟! يَقُولُ: اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعًا، إِحْدَاهُنَّ فِي رَجَبٍ؟! فَقَالَتْ: يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَعْتَمِرْ عُمْرَةً إِلَّا وَهُوَ شَاهِدُهَا، وَمَا اعْتَمَرَ شَيْئًا فِي رَجَبٍ.
