Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6221
Salem, may Allah have mercy on him, said that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, used to offer the night prayer and Witr prayer while riding his camel during a journey, and he did not care in which direction he was facing. And he used to mention this in reference to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

سالم رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سفر میں رات کی نماز اور وتر اپنے اونٹ پر سوار ہو کر پڑھ لیتے تھے اور اس کی پرواہ نہیں کرتے تھے کہ اس کا رخ کسی بھی سمت میں ہو اور اسے نبی ﷺ کے حوالے سے ذکر کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ :" كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ صَلَاتَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ، وَيُوتِرُ، رَاكِبًا عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ، لَا يُبَالِي حَيْثُ وَجَّهَ بَعِيرُهُ"، وَيَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ مُوسَى: وَرَأَيْتُ سَالِمًا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ.
