Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6240
Abdullah bin Shareek Aamri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that someone asked Abdullah ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas and Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them) regarding performing Umrah before Hajj in Hajj Tamattu. I heard these gentlemen replying that yes! This is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When you reach Makkah Mukarramah, perform Tawaf of the Kaaba, perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and get your hair cut. If this is done one day before the day of Arafat, then assume Ihram for Hajj. This way your Hajj and Umrah will be combined.

عبداللہ بن شریک عامری رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما، ابن عباس اور ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کسی نے حج تمتع میں حج سے پہلے عمرہ کر نے کے متعلق پوچھا میں نے ان حضرات کو یہ جواب دیتے ہوئے سنا کہ ہاں! یہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی سنت ہے تم مکہ مکرمہ پہنچ کر بیت اللہ کا طواف کرو صفا مروہ کے درمیان سعی کرو اور حلال ہوجاؤ اگر یہ کام یوم عرفہ سے ایک دن پہلے ہوا ہو تو حج کا احرام باندھ لو اس طرح تمہارا حج اور عمرہ اکٹھا ہو جائے گا۔
Abdulal bin sharik ameri rehmatullah kehte hain ke sayydena ibn umar razi allaho anhuma, ibn abbas aur ibn zubair razi allaho anhu se kisi ne hajj e tamattu mein hajj se pehle umrah kar ne ke mutalliq poocha maine in hazraat ko ye jawab dete huye suna ke haan! ye nabi kareem sallallaho alaihi wasallam ki sunnat hai tum makkah mukarrama pahunch kar baitullah ka tawaf karo safa marwah ke darmiyan sai karo aur halal ho jao agar ye kaam youm e arafah se ek din pehle hua ho to hajj ka ehram bandh lo is tarah tumhara hajj aur umrah ek sath ho jaye ga.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ الْعَامِرِيِّ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزبير ، سئلوا عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَجِّ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ، فَقَالُوا: نَعَمْ، سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، تَقْدَمُ، فَتَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ , وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا , وَالْمَرْوَةِ، ثُمَّ تَحِلُّ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِيَوْمٍ، ثُمَّ تُهِلُّ بِالْحَجِّ، فَتَكُونُ قَدْ جَمَعْتَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجَّةً، أَوْ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ لَكَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجَّةً.
