Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6259
Saeed bin Jubair said: Once I was going somewhere with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) in Madinah. We passed by some young men from Quraysh who had tied up a live bird and were practicing archery on it. They had said to the owner of the bird that whoever's arrow misses the target, the bird would be theirs. Upon seeing this, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry and asked, "Who is doing this?" Immediately, all the young men scattered. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the person who takes a living creature as a target."

سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ مدینہ منورہ کے کسی راستے پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ ان کے گھر سے نکلا ہمارا گزر قریش کے کچھ نوجوانوں پر ہوا جنہوں نے ایک زندہ پرندہ کو باندھ رکھا ہے اور اس پر نشانہ درست کر رہے تھے اور پرندے کے مالک سے کہہ رکھا تھا جو تیر چوک جائے وہ تمہارا ہو گا اس پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما غصے میں آگئے اور فرمانے لگے یہ کون کر رہا ہے؟ اسی وقت سارے نوجوان دائیں بائیں ہو گئے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا: ”کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس شخص پر لعنت فرمائی ہے جو کسی جاندارچیز کو باندھ کر اس پر نشانہ درست کرے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain ke ek martaba Madina Munawwara ke kisi raaste par Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke saath unke ghar se nikla hamara guzar Quresh ke kuch naujawanon par hua jinhon ne ek zinda parindah ko bandh rakha hai aur is par nishana durust kar rahe the aur parinde ke malik se keh rakha tha jo teer chook jaye woh tumhara ho ga is par Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ghusse mein aagaye aur farmane lage yeh kaun kar raha hai? Isi waqt sare naujawan dayen bayen ho gaye Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya: ”kah Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is shakhs par laanat farmai hai jo kisi jandaar cheez ko bandh kar is par nishana durust kare.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِهِ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِفِتْيَانٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَدْ نَصَبُوا طَيْرًا وَهُمْ يَرْمُونَهُ، وَقَدْ جَعَلُوا لِصَاحِبِ الطَّيْرِ كُلَّ خَاطِئَةٍ مِنْ نَبْلِهِمْ، فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا ابْنَ عُمَرَ تَفَرَّقُوا، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟! لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا؟! , إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ اتَّخَذَ شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا".
