Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6260
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the details of the voluntary prayers of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are that he used to pray two rak'ahs before the Zuhr prayer and two rak'ahs after it, two rak'ahs after the Maghrib prayer, and two rak'ahs after the Isha prayer. And Sayyida Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray two rak'ahs after the Fajr prayer as well.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے نوافل کی تفصیل یہ ہے کہ ظہر کی نماز سے قبل دو رکعتیں اور اس کے بعد دو رکعتیں نیز مغرب کے بعد دو رکعتیں اور عشاء کے بعد بھی دو رکعتیں اور سیدنا حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے یہ بتایا ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ طلوع فجر کے بعد بھی دو رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke nawafil ki tafseel yeh hai ki Zuhar ki namaz se pehle do rakaaten aur iske baad do rakaaten neez Maghrib ke baad do rakaaten aur Isha ke baad bhi do rakaaten aur Sayyidna Hafsa ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne mujhe yeh bataya hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) طلوع fajr ke baad bhi do rakaaten parhte the.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، وَابْنُ عَوْنٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ تَطَوُّعُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ"، قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ:" أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ".
