Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6375
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) combined two prayers only once. He received news of the illness of Safiyyah bint Abi 'Ubayd. He set out after the 'Asr prayer, leaving his belongings behind and quickening his pace. During the journey, the time for Maghrib prayer arrived. One of his companions drew his attention to it, saying, "The time for prayer has come," but he did not respond. Another said it, but he did not respond to him either. He did not respond to the third one's saying either. The fourth time, he said: "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), if he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in a hurry while traveling, he would delay this prayer and combine the two prayers."

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے صرف ایک مرتبہ دو نمازوں کو اکٹھا کیا تھا اس کی صورت یہ ہوئی تھی کہ انہیں صفیہ بنت ابی عبید کی بیماری کی خبر معلوم ہوئی وہ عصر کی نماز کے بعد روانہ ہوئے اور سامان وہیں چھوڑ دیا اور اپنی رفتار تیز کر دی دوران سفر نماز نماز مغرب کا وقت آگیا ان کے کسی ساتھی نے انہیں متوجہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نماز کا وقت ہو گیا ہے لیکن انہوں نے اسے کوئی جواب نہیں دیادوسرے نے کہا انہوں نے اسے بھی کوئی جواب نہ دیا پھر تیسرے نے کے کہنے پر بھی جواب نہ دیاچوتھی مرتبہ انہوں نے فرمایا: ”کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو دیکھا ہے کہ اگر آپ ﷺ کو چلنے میں جلدی ہوتی تھی تو اس نماز کو مؤخر کر کے دو نمازیں اکٹھی پڑھ لیتے تھے۔
Nafi rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne sirf ek martaba do namaazon ko ikatha kiya tha uski surat yeh hui thi ke unhen Safiya bint Abi Ubaid ki bimari ki khabar maloom hui woh Asar ki namaz ke baad rawana hue aur saman wahin chhod diya aur apni raftar tez kar di dauran safar namaz namaz Maghrib ka waqt aa gaya unke kisi sathi ne unhen mutwajjah karte hue kaha ke namaz ka waqt ho gaya hai lekin unhon ne use koi jawab nahi diya dusre ne kaha unhon ne use bhi koi jawab na diya phir teesre ne ke kehne par bhi jawab na diya chauthi martaba unhon ne farmaya: "ke main ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha hai ke agar aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko chalne mein jaldi hoti thi to is namaz ko muakhar kar ke do namazen ikathi parh lete the."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، قَالَ: جَمَعَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً جَاءَهُ خَبَرٌ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّهَا وَجِعَةٌ، فَارْتَحَلَ بَعْدَ أَنْ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ، وَتَرَكَ الْأَثْقَالَ، ثُمَّ أَسْرَعَ السَّيْرَ، فَسَارَ حَتَّى حَانَتْ صَلَاةُ الْمَغْرِبِ، فَكَلَّمَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَقَالَ: الصَّلَاةَ، فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِ شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ كَلَّمَهُ آخَرُ، فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِ شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ كَلَّمَهُ آخَرُ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ," إِذَا اسْتَعْجَلَ بِهِ السَّيْرُ، أَخَّرَ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ، حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ".
