Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6401
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform the sacrifice in Madinah Munawwarah on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah and if he was unable to slaughter it himself, he would have it slaughtered.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ دس ذی الحجہ کو مدینہ منورہ میں ہی قربانی کیا کرتے تھے اور نحر نہ کر سکنے کی صورت میں اسے ذبح ہی کر لیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ يَنْحَرُ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالْمَدِينَةِ"، قَالَ:" وَكَانَ إِذَا لَمْ يَنْحَرْ ذَبَحَ".
