Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6433
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to do ramal (fast-paced walking) from the Black Stone to the Black Stone in the first three circuits of Tawaf, and he would walk normally in the remaining four circuits. He used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did the same.

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے طواف کے پہلے تین چکروں میں حجر اسود سے حجر اسود تک رمل اور باقی چار چکروں میں عام رفتار رکھتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے بھی اسی طرح کیا تھا۔
Nafey rahmatullah alaih kehte hain keh sayyidna ibn umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne tawaf ke pehle teen chakron mein hajar aswad se hajar aswad tak ramal aur baqi chaar chakron mein aam raftar rakhte thay aur kehte thay keh nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bhi isi tarah kiya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ," أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْمُلُ ثَلَاثًا مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ، وَيَمْشِي أَرْبَعًا عَلَى هِينَتِهِ"، قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ.
