Chapter on the virtue of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree).
باب فضل ليلة القدر
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8521
Saeed bin Jubair (RA) narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) regarding Allah's saying, "{Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree}," that the Quran was sent down once, in its entirety, to the worldly sky on Laylatul Qadr, and that is the place where the stars descend from. And Allah, the Exalted, would send it down (to Earth) according to the situation, revelation after revelation. Allah says, "They say, ‘Why is the Quran not revealed to him all at once…’." "{…so that We may strengthen your heart thereby}."

(٨٥٢١) سعید بن جبیر (رض) ابن عباس (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے اس فرمان {إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاہُ فِی لَیْلَۃِ الْقَدْرِ } کے بارے میں کہ قرآن یکبارگی آسمان دنیا پر لیلۃ القدر میں نازل ہوا اور وہ ستاروں کے اترنے کی جگہ ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ اسے نازل کیا کرتے تھے موقع کی مناسبت سے ایک کے بعد دوسری وحی۔ اللہ فرماتے ہیں : انھوں نے کہا ’{ لَوْلاَ نُزِّلَ عَلَیْہِ الْقُرْآنُ۔۔۔} کہ اس پر قرآن یکبارگی کیوں نہیں اتاردیاجاتا ہے۔ { لِنُثَبِّتَ بِہِ فُؤَادَکَ } تاکہ ہم آپ کے دل کو مضبوط کردیں۔
(8521) Saeed bin Jubair (Razi Allah Anhu) Ibn Abbas (Razi Allah Anhu) se bayan karte hain ki Allah ke is farman {Inna Anzalnaahu fee Laylatil Qadr} ke bare mein ki Quran ek baargi aasman duniya par Laylatul Qadr mein nazil hua aur wo sitaron ke utarne ki jagah hai aur Allah Ta'ala use nazil karte thay mauke ki munasabat se ek ke baad dusri wahi. Allah farmate hain: Unhon ne kaha '{Lawla Nuzzila Alaihi Al-Quranu} ki is par Quran ek baargi kyun nahin utar diya jata. {Linuthabbita Bihi Fuadak} taaki hum aap ke dil ko mazbut kar den.
Mujaahid narrates that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned a man from the Children of Israel who had kept his weapons ready for battle in the path of Allah for a thousand months. The narrator says that the Companions were amazed by this. Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months." (That is,) [better than the deeds of] the one who had kept his weapons ready in the path of Allah for a thousand months.

(٨٥٢٢) مجاہد بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بنی اسرائیل کے ایک آدمی کا تذکرہ کیا کہ اس نے اللہ کی راہ میں ہزار مہینے اسلحہ باندھے رکھا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں تو صحابہ نے اس پر تعجب کیا ۔ تب اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ نازل فرمائی : {إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاہُ فِی لَیْلَۃِ الْقَدْرِ وَمَا أَدْرَاکَ مَا لَیْلَۃُالْقَدْرِ لَیْلَۃُ الْقَدْرِ خَیْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَہْرٍ } کہ جس شخص نے اللہ کی راہ میں اسلحہ باندھے رکھا ہزار مہینہ تھا۔
(8522) Mujahid bayan karte hain ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Bani Israel ke ek aadmi ka tazkara kiya ki usne Allah ki rah mein hazaar mahine aslaha bandhe rakha. Ravi kehte hain to Sahaba ne is par taajjub kiya. Tab Allah Ta'ala ne ye nazil farmayi: {Inna Anzalnahu Fi Lailatul Qadr Wama Adraka Ma Lailatul Qadr Lailatul Qadri Khairum Min Alfi Shahr} ki jis shakhs ne Allah ki rah mein aslaha bandhe rakha hazaar mahina tha.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever stands (in prayer) on the night of Qadr, with faith and hope for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan, with faith and hope for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven."

(٨٥٢٣) ابوہریرہ (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس نے لیلۃ القدر کا قیام کیا ایمان و طلب ثواب کی نیت سے اس کے پہلے گناہ بخش دیے جائیں گے اور جس نے رمضان کے روزے رکھے ایمان اور طلب وثواب کی نیت سے اس کے پہلے گناہ بخش دیے جائیں گے۔
(8523) Abu Hurairah (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Jis ne Lailatul Qadr ka qiyam kiya imaan o talab sawab ki niyat se uske pehle gunah bakhsh diye jayenge aur jis ne Ramzan ke roze rakhe imaan aur talab o sawab ki niyat se uske pehle gunah bakhsh diye jayenge.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever stands (in prayer) on Laylat al-Qadr, believing in it and seeking its reward, his past sins will be forgiven."

(٨٥٢٤) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو کوئی قیام کرے گا لیلۃ القدرکا اور اس نے اسے ایمان کی حالت اور طلب ثواب کی نیت سے پایا تو اس کے پہلے گناہ معاف کردیے جائیں گے۔
(8524) hazrat abu huraira (rz) bayan karte hain ki rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : jo koi qayam kare ga laylatul qadr ka aur usne ise iman ki halat aur talab sawab ki niyat se paya to uske pehle gunah maaf kar diye jayenge.
