Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 9730
Shaqiq bin Salmah relates: I was sitting with Shaiba bin Uthman in Masjid al-Haram when he said: Just as you are sitting with me, similarly Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting (with someone) and he started saying: I intend to leave none of the gold and silver of the Ka'bah, and to distribute it all. Shaiba said: I said: Your two companions did not do this, meaning, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: They are two people whom I follow.

(٩٧٣٠) شقیق بن سلمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں شیبہ بن عثمان کے ساتھ مسجد حرام میں بیٹھا تو انھوں نے کہا : جس طرح تو میرے ساتھ بیٹھا ہے بالکل اسی طرح عمر بن خطاب (رض) بیٹھے تھے اور وہ کہنے لگے کہ میرا ارادہ ہے کہ میں کعبہ کا سارا سونا اور چاندی کچھ بھی نہ چھوڑوں ، سب تقسیم کر دوں، شیبہ کہتے ہیں : میں نے کہا : آپ کے دو ساتھیوں نے تو یہ کام نہیں کیا، یعنی رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور ابوبکر (رض) نے، تو عمر (رض) نے فرمایا : وہ دونوں ایسے آدمی ہیں کہ میں جن کی اقتدا کرتا ہوں۔
9730 shuqayq bin salma farmaty hain keh main shayba bin usman k sath masjid haram mein betha to unhon ne kaha: jis tarah to mere sath betha hai bilkul isi tarah umar bin khitab (rz) bethay thay aur wo kehne lagy keh mera irada hai keh main kabba ka sara sona aur chandi kuchh bhi nah chhorun, sab taqsim kar dun, shayba kehty hain: main ne kaha: aap k do sathiyon ne to yeh kaam nahin kiya, yani rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aur abubakar (rz) ne, to umar (rz) ne farmaya: wo donon aise aadmi hain keh main jin ki iqtida karta hun.
(9731) Shaiba bin Usman Ja’fi went to Sayyida Aisha (ra) and said: “O Mother of the Believers! The covering of the Ka'bah is collected by us, and when it becomes excessive, we dig wells and bury it in them so that no menstruating woman or someone in the state of impurity touches it.” So Sayyida Aisha (ra) said: “You have not done well, and you have done a very bad thing. When the covering of the Ka'bah is taken off, there is no harm in a menstruating woman or someone in the state of impurity touching it. Rather, you should sell it and spend its price on the needy and in Jihad.” It is said that after this, Shaiba would send this covering to Yemen, it would be sold there, then its price would be spent on the poor and needy, Jihad, and travelers.

(٩٧٣١) شیبہ بن عثمان جعفی سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کے پاس گئے اور کہا : اے ام المومنین ! کعبہ کا غلاف ہمارے پاس جمع ہوتا ہے اور جب وہ زیادہ ہوجائے تو ہم کنویں کھود کر اس میں دفن کردیتے ہیں تاکہ کوئی جنبی یا حائضہ انھیں نہ پہن لے تو سیدہ عائشہ (رض) نے فرمایا : تم نے اچھا نہیں کیا اور بہت برا کام کیا ہے ، کعبہ کا غلاف جب اتار لیا جائے تو جنبی وحائضہ کے پہننے میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے، لیکن تو اس کو بیچ دے اور اس کی قیمت ساکنین اور جہاد میں لگا دے، کہتی ہیں کہ اس کے بعد شیبہ اس غلاف کو یمن بھیجتا، اسے وہاں بیچ دیا جاتا پھر اس کی قیمت مساکین، جہاد اور مسافروں پر خرچ کی جاتی۔
(9731) Shaiba bin Usman Jaffi Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) ke pass gaye aur kaha: Aye Ummalmomineen! Kaaba ka ghilaf humare pass jama hota hai aur jab woh zyada hojaye to hum kuen khod kar us mein dafan karte hain taake koi janabi ya haiza unhen na pehn le to Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) ne farmaya: Tum ne achha nahi kiya aur bahut bura kaam kiya hai, Kaaba ka ghilaf jab utar liya jaye to janabi wa haiza ke pehenne mein koi harj nahi hai, lekin tum usko bech de aur uski qeemat sakinain aur jihad mein laga de, kehti hain ke uske baad Shaiba us ghilaf ko Yemen bhejhta, use wahan bech diya jata phir uski qeemat misakeen, jihad aur musafiron par kharch ki jati.
Sayyida Aisha (RA) narrates that before the fasts of Ramadan were made obligatory, people used to fast on the day of Ashura and the Kaaba used to be covered (with a new Kiswah) on that day. When Allah made Ramadan obligatory, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wants to fast on the day of Ashura, then he may fast, and whoever wants to leave it, then he may leave it.

(٩٧٣٢) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رمضان کے روزے فرض ہونے سے پہلے لوگ عاشورا کا روزہ رکھا کرتے تھے اور اسی دن کعبہ کو غلاف پہنایا جاتا تھا۔ جب اللہ نے رمضان کو فرض قرار دے دیا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو عاشورا کا روزہ رکھنا چاہتا ہے تو رکھ لے اور جو چھوڑنا چاہتا ہے چھوڑ دے۔
(9732) Syeda Ayesha (RA) farmati hain ke Ramazan ke rozy farz hone se pehle log Ashura ka roza rakha karte thy aur isi din Kaaba ko ghilaf pehnaya jata tha. Jab Allah ne Ramazan ko farz qarar de diya to Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Jo Ashura ka roza rakhna chahta hai to rakh le aur jo chorna chahta hai chor de.
