Isa bin Sadqa reported: My father, the Imam of our locality and I went to Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) and requested him to narrate to us a Hadith which he had heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) so that Allah may make it beneficial for us. Anas said, "A man died and a man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and informed him about his death. We said, 'Will you not offer his funeral prayer?' He (ﷺ) said, 'Is he under debt?' We said, 'Yes.' He (ﷺ) said, 'Will any of you stand surety for his debt so that I should offer his funeral prayer?' They replied in the negative. He (ﷺ) said, 'It will do you no good that I offer the funeral prayer of a man who is being held as a prisoner in his grave till Allah raises him on the Day of Resurrection and takes account from him."

(١١٤٠٦) عیسیٰ بن صدقہ فرماتے ہیں : میں اور میرے والد اور محلے کے امام انس بن مالک (رض) کے پاس گئے اور کہا کہ ہمیں حدیث بیان کریں جو آپ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنی ہو، اللہ اسے ہمارے لیے نفع کا باعث بنائے۔ انس نے فرمایا : ایک آدمی فوت ہوگیا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک آدمی آیا، اس نے خبر دی۔ ہم نے کہا : کیا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائیں گے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : کیا اس پر کوئی قرض ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : ہاں۔ آپ نے فرمایا : تم میں اس کی کوئی ضمانت دے گا تاکہ میں نماز جنازہ پڑھاؤں۔ انھوں نے نہ میں جواب دیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا : پس نہیں نفع دے گا تم کو کہ میں کسی آدمی کی نماز جنازہ پڑھاؤں جسے اس کی قبر میں رہن کے طور پر رکھا جارہاہو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اسے قیامت کے دن اٹھائے اور اس سے حساب کتاب کیا جائے۔
11406 Isa bin Sidq farmate hain : main aur mere walid aur mohalle ke imam Anas bin Malik (RA) ke pass gaye aur kaha ki hamen hadees bayaan karen jo aap ne Rasul Allah (SAW) se suni ho, Allah ise hamare liye nafa ka baais banaye. Anas ne farmaya : Ek aadmi foot hogaya. Rasul Allah (SAW) ke pass ek aadmi aaya, usne khabar di. Humne kaha : kya Rasul Allah (SAW) iski namaz janaza parhaenge ? Aap ne farmaya : kya is par koi qarz hai ? Humne kaha : haan. Aap ne farmaya : tum mein iski koi zamanat dega taake main namaz janaza parhaun. Unhon ne na mein jawab diya. Aap ne farmaya : pas nahin nafa dega tum ko ki main kisi aadmi ki namaz janaza parhaun jise iski qabar mein rahan ke taur par rakha jaraha ho yahan tak ki Allah use qayamat ke din uthaye aur us se hisab kitab kiya jaaye.
Abdul Hameed narrates: I went to Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was saying: All praise is due to the One who prevents the sky from falling on the earth except by His permission. A man said: O Abu Hamza! If you could narrate to us a Hadith, perhaps Allah might benefit us through it. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever among you has the ability to die without any debt on him, then he should do so. Indeed, I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when a funeral was brought to him so that you (the Prophet) may offer the funeral prayer. You asked: Is he in debt? They said: Yes. You said: My offering the funeral prayer for this man will not benefit him whose soul is detained in his grave. Then his soul is not raised to Allah. So, if someone guarantees his debt, then I will offer the funeral prayer. My offering of the funeral prayer will benefit him.

(١١٤٠٧) عبدالحمید فرماتے ہیں : میں انس بن مالک (رض) کے پاس گیا، وہ فرما رہے تھے : تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لیے ہیں جس نے آسمان کو زمین پر واقع ہونے سے روک رکھا ہے اپنی اجازت سے۔ ایک آدمی نے کہا : اے ابو حمزہ ! اگر آپ ہمیں کوئی حدیث بیان کردیں تو ہوسکتا ہے کہ اللہ ہمیں اس سے نفع پہنچائے۔ انس (رض) فرمانے لگے : تم میں سے جو طاقت رکھتا ہے کہ اس حالت میں فوت ہو کہ اس پر قرض نہ ہو تو ضرور ایسا کرے۔ بیشک میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس تھا، ایک جنازہ لایا گیا تاکہ آپ اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائیں۔ آپ نے پوچھا : یہ مقروض تو نہیں ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں آپ نے فرمایا : میرا اس آدمی پر نماز پڑھانا اسے نفع نہیں دے گا جس کی روح اس کی قبر میں رہن رکھی ہوئی ہو۔ پھر اس کی روح اللہ کی طرف نہیں چڑھائی جاتی۔ پس اگر کوئی آدمی اس کی ضمانت دے اس کے قرض کی تو میں جنازہ پڑھا دیتا ہوں۔ میرا نماز جنازہ پڑھانا اسے نفع دے گا۔
(11407) Abdulhamid farmate hain : mein Anas bin Malik (RA) ke paas gaya, woh farma rahe the : tamam tarifain is zaat ke liye hain jisne aasman ko zameen par waqe hone se rok rakha hai apni ijazat se. Ek aadmi ne kaha : aye Abu Hamza! agar aap humain koi hadees bayaan kar dain to ho sakta hai ki Allah humain is se nafa pahunchaye. Anas (RA) farmane lage : tum mein se jo taqat rakhta hai ki is halat mein faut ho ki us par qarz na ho to zaroor aisa kare. Beshak mein Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas tha, ek janaza laya gaya taaki aap is ki namaz janaza parhaen. Aap ne poocha : yeh maqrooz to nahin? Unhon ne kaha : haan. Aap ne farmaya : mera is aadmi par namaz parhana usey nafa nahin de ga jis ki rooh us ki qabar mein rahan rakhi hui ho. Phir us ki rooh Allah ki taraf nahin chadhayi jati. Pas agar koi aadmi is ki zamanat de us ke qarz ki to mein janaza parhata hun. Mera namaz janaza parhana usey nafa de ga.
Sadiq bin `Isa said: I heard from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He asked: "Is there any debt on him?" They said: "Yes." He said: "Will you guarantee it?" They said: "Yes, if you lead the funeral prayer."

(١١٤٠٩) صدقہ بن عیسیٰ فرماتے ہیں : میں نے انس (رض) سے سنا کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک جنازہ لایا گیا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دریافت کیا : کیا اس پر قرض تو نہیں ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں اگر تم اس کی ضمانت دو تو میں نماز جنازہ پڑھا دیتا ہوں۔
Sadqa bin Isa farmate hain : maine Anas (RA) se suna ki Nabi (SAW) ke paas ek janaza laya gaya, Aap (SAW) ne دریافت kia : kya is par qarz to nahin ? Unhon ne kaha : haan agar tum is ki zamanat do to main namaz janaza parha deta hun.
Samurah ibn Jundab narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the prayer one day, and when he finished, he said, "Is there anyone here from Banu Fulan?" A man said, "This is Fulan." He said, "Your companion is being detained at the gate of Paradise because of a debt." A man said, "I owe him that debt." So he paid it off.

(١١٤١٠) سمرہ بن جندب سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک دن نماز پڑھائی پھر جب متوجہ ہوئے تو پوچھا : کیا بنی فلاں کا کوئی آدمی ادھر ہے ؟ ایک آدمی نے کہا : یہ فلاں ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا : تمہارا ساتھی جنت کے دروازے پر قرض کی وجہ سے رک گیا ہے۔ ایک آدمی نے کہا : اس کا قرض مجھ پر ہے۔ پھر اس نے ادا کردیا۔
Samra bin Jundab se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek din namaz parhaai phir jab mutawajja hue to poocha: kya bani falan ka koi aadmi idhar hai? Ek aadmi ne kaha: ye falan hai. Aap ne farmaya: tumhara sathi Jannat ke darwaze par qarz ki wajah se ruk gaya hai. Ek aadmi ne kaha: iska qarz mujh par hai. Phir usne ada kar diya.
The soul of a Muslim is suspended because of his debt until it is paid off.

(١١٤١١) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مسلمان کی جان اس کے قرض کی وجہ سے لٹکادی جاتی ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ ادا کردیا جائے۔
(11411) Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Musalman ki jaan us ke qarz ki waja se latkadi jati hai yahan tak keh woh ada kar diya jaye.
