Chapter on Not Raising the Voice in Recitation If It Disturbs Others Nearby

باب من لم يرفع صوته بالقراءة شديدا إذا كان يتأذى به من حوله

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4703

Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed I'tikaf (religious seclusion) in the mosque. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard the Companions reciting the Quran aloud while he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in his tent. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) lifted the curtain and said, "Are you not humbling yourselves before your Lord? Do not harm one another, and do not raise your voices over one another in recitation."

(٤٧٠٣) ابو سعید خدری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مسجد میں اعتکاف کیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سنا کہ صحابہ بلند آواز سے قرأت کر رہے تھے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنے خیمہ میں تھے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پردہ ہٹایا اور فرمایا : کیا تم اپنے رب سے سرگوشی نہیں کر رہے۔ تم ایک دوسرے کو تکلیف نہ دو اور تم ایک دوسرے سے نماز میں قرأت بلند نہ کرو۔

(4703) Abu Saeed Khudri (Razi Allah Anhu) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne masjid mein etikaf kiya Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne suna ke sahaba buland aawaz se qirat kar rahe the aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) apne khaima mein the aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne parda hataya aur farmaya kya tum apne rab se sargosi nahin kar rahe tum ek dusre ko takleef na do aur tum ek dusre se namaz mein qirat buland na karo

٤٧٠٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْعَدْلُ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ،وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا:أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ،عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ:اعْتَكَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَسَمِعَهُمْ يَجْهَرُونَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ لَهُ،فَكَشَفَ الْمَسْتُورَةَ وَقَالَ:" أَلَا إِنَّ كُلَّكُمْ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ، فَلَا يُؤْذِيَنَّ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، وَلَا يَرْفَعَنَّ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ "

Abu Hazim narrated from Thamar al-Bayyadi that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the people while they were praying and their voices were loud in recitation. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The praying person is conversing secretly with his Lord, so let him look to what he is conversing secretly with, and do not raise your voices in recitation over one another."

(٤٧٠٤) ابوحازم تمار بیاضی سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) لوگوں کی طرف آئے اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے اور قرأت کی وجہ سے ان کی آوازیں بلند تھیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نمازی اپنے رب سے سرگوشی کرتا ہے۔ وہ دیکھے، وہ کیا سرگوشی کررہا ہے اور تم ایک دوسرے سے قرأت بلند نہ کرو۔

(4704) Abu Hazim Tamar Biyaazi se naql farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) logon ki taraf aaye aur wo namaz padh rahe the aur qirat ki wajah se un ki aawazen buland thin. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Namazi apne Rab se sirgoshi karta hai. Wo dekhe, wo kya sirgoshi kar raha hai aur tum ek dusre se qirat buland na karo.

٤٧٠٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَدْلُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ التَّمَّارِ، عَنِ الْبَيَاضِيِّ،أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَقَدْ عَلَتْ أَصْوَاتُهُمْ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّيَ مُنَاجٍ رَبَّهُ فَلْيَنْظُرْ مَا يُنَاجِيهِ بِهِ، وَلَا يَجْهَرْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ "
