Chapter on the Hadith That Narrates the Prophet Leaving Duha Prayer, Meaning He Did Not Regularly Perform It
باب ذكر الحديث الذي روي في ترك الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاة الضحى، وأن المراد به أنه كان لا يداوم عليها
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4911
(4911) Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that she never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) miss the Duha prayer, otherwise, she too would have always offered these supererogatory prayers.
(b) In Ma'mar's narration, it is added that people did not mention anything that was more beloved to me than this.
(Note) Aisha's (may Allah be pleased with her) statement, "I used to pray them regularly," meaning I used to perform them consistently. By "people did not introduce anything," she meant something that people did consistently.

(٤٩١١) عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو (ہمیشہ) چاشت کے نفل پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا، ورنہ میں بھی ان نوافل کو (ہمیشہ) پڑھتی۔
(ب) معمر کی روایت میں اضافہ ہے کہ لوگوں نے کوئی چیز بیان نہیں کی، جو مجھے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہو۔
(نوٹ) عائشہ (رض) کا فرمان {إِنِّی لأُسَبِّحُہَا } یعنی میں ان پر ہمیشگی کرتی۔ { وَمَا أَحْدَثَ النَّاسُ شَیْئًا } سے ان کی مراد یہ تھی کہ جس پر لوگوں نے ہمیشگی کی ہو۔

(b) Ma'mar ki riwayat mein izafa hai keh logon ne koi cheez bayan nahin ki, jo mujhe is se zyada mahboob ho
(Note) Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) ka farman {Inni la'usabbi'ha} yani main in par hamesha karti. {Wa ma 'ahdath-an-nasu shai'an} se un ki murad yeh thi keh jis par logon ne hamesha ki ho.
(4912) Abdullah bin Shaqiq narrates that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offer Chasht prayer? She said: Yes, when he returned from a journey.
(b) Mu'adha narrates from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray four rak'ahs and would increase them as much as he wished.

(٤٩١٢) عبداللہ بن شقیق فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عائشہ (رض) سے سوال کیا : کیا نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) چاشت کی نماز پڑھتے تھے : فرمایا : ہاں جب آپ سفر سے واپس آتے۔
(ب) معاذۃ عائشہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) چار رکعات پڑھتے تھے اور جتنا چاہتے زیادہ کرتے۔
(4912) Abdullah bin Shaqeek farmate hain ki maine Ayesha (RA) se sawal kiya: kya Nabi (SAWW) chast ki namaz parhte thay? Farmaya: Haan jab aap safar se wapas aate.
(b) Moaza Ayesha (RA) se naqal farmati hain ki Nabi (SAWW) chaar rakat parhte thay aur jitna chahte zyada karte.
Uruwa narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying the Chast prayer regularly. Otherwise, I would have also made it a habit. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not leave any deed except when he feared that it might be made obligatory on the people.

(٤٩١٣) عروہ عائشہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کبھی بھی چاشت کے نفل پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا۔ ورنہ میں بھی ان پر ہمیشگی کرتی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کسی عمل کو نہیں چھوڑتے تھے، لیکن جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ڈر ہوتا کہ کہیں لوگوں پر فرض نہ کردیا جائے تو چھوڑ دیتے۔
(4913) Urwa Ayesha (RA) se naql farmate hain ke maine Nabi (SAW) ko kabhi bhi chast ke nafl parhte nahi dekha warna mein bhi un par hameshagi karti aur Rasul Allah (SAW) kisi amal ko nahi chhorte the lekin jab aap (SAW) ko dar hota ke kahin logon par farz na kar diya jaye to chhor dete.
