Narrated Abu Barzah (RA): That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray Zuhr when the sun declined, and he would pray 'Asr when one of us would return from the other side of Medina, while the sun was still bright and clear. And I have forgotten about Maghrib, and he used to delay 'Isha' until a third of the night had passed. Then Abu Barzah said: Then he (ﷺ) used to say: "You (ﷺ) would delay it until half of the night." And he (ﷺ) disliked to sleep before it ('Isha') and to talk (in worldly affairs) after it. And he (ﷺ) would pray Fajr when one of us would recognize his companion, and in the Fajr prayer, he (ﷺ) would recite sixty to one hundred verses (of the Qur'an).

(٢٠٥١) حضرت ابوبرزہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ظہر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب سورج ڈھل جاتا تھا اور عصر کی نماز ایسے وقت میں ادا فرماتے تھے کہ ہم میں سے کوئی مدینہ کے دوسرے کنارے سے ہو کر واپس آجاتا، لیکن سورج ابھی صاف اور روشن ہوتا اور مغرب کا وقت میں بھول گیا اور عشا کی نماز ایک تہائی رات تک مؤخر کیا کرتے تھے، پھر ابوبرزہ فرماتے ہیں کہ پھر فرمانے لگے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آدھی رات تک (موخر) فرماتے تھے اور عشا سے پہلے سونے کو ناپسند فرماتے تھے، اسی طرح عشا کے بعد (دنیاوی) باتیں کرنا بھی آپ کو ناپسند تھا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) صبح کی نماز ایسے وقت میں پڑھتے تھے کہ ہم میں سے ہر ایک اپنے ساتھی کو پہچان سکتا تھا اور فجر کی نماز میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ساٹھ سے سو آیات تلاوت فرماتے تھے۔
(2051) Hazrat Abu Burza (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Zuhar ki namaz us waqt parhte thay jab suraj dhal jata tha aur Asr ki namaz aise waqt mein ada farmate thay ki hum mein se koi Madinah ke dusre kinare se ho kar wapas aa jata, lekin suraj abhi saaf aur roshan hota aur Maghrib ka waqt mein bhul gaya aur Isha ki namaz ek tihai raat tak moakhar kia karte thay, phir Abu Burza farmate hain ki phir farmane lage ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aadhi raat tak (moakhar) farmate thay aur Isha se pehle sone ko napasand farmate thay, isi tarah Isha ke baad (duniyawi) baatein karna bhi aap ko napasand tha. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) subah ki namaz aise waqt mein parhte thay ki hum mein se har ek apne sathi ko pehchan sakta tha aur Fajr ki namaz mein aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) saath se sau ayat tilawat farmate thay.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she never saw anyone who prayed Zuhr prayer earlier than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He did not make an exception for his father (Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)) nor for Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him).

(٢٠٥٣) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے بڑھ کر ظہر کو جلدی پڑھنے والا کوئی انسان نہیں دیکھا۔ انھوں نے نہ ہی اپنے والد (ابوبکر (رض) ) کو مستثنیٰ کیا اور نہ ہی عمر فاروق (رض) کو۔
(2053) Hazrat Ayesha (RA) farmati hain keh maine Rasulullah (SAW) se barh kar zuhar ko jaldi parhne wala koi insan nahi dekha. Unhon ne na hi apne wald (Abu Bakar (RA)) ko mustasna kia aur na hi Umar Farooq (RA) ko.
(2054) A similar narration has been reported from Ishaq Azraq. However, it is not mentioned in it that they did not exclude their father Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), but this is their misconception. The correct narration is what has been narrated by a group.

(٢٠٥٤) حضرت اسحاق ازرق سے بھی اسی طرح کی روایت منقول ہے۔ البتہ اس میں یہ ذکر نہیں کہ انھوں نے اپنے باپ عمر (رض) کو مستثنیٰ نہیں کیا، لیکن یہ ان کا وہم ہے۔ صحیح وہی ہے جسے ایک جماعت نے روایت کیا ہے۔
(2054) Hazrat Ishaq Azraq se bhi isi tarah ki riwayat manqool hai. Albata is mein ye zikr nahi ki unhon ne apne baap Umar (RA) ko mustasna nahi kiya, lekin ye un ka wahm hai. Sahih wohi hai jise ek jamaat ne riwayat kiya hai.
