Chapter: Spitting in the Mosque is a Sin and Its Expiation is to Bury It
باب: البزاق في المسجد خطيئة وكفارتها دفنها

Qatadah narrates that I heard Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Spitting in the mosque is a sin and covering it up is its expiation."

(٣٥٨٨) قتادہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس بن مالک (رض) کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مسجد میں تھوکنا گناہ ہے اور اسے چھپا دینا اس کا کفارہ ہے۔
Qatada bayan karte hain ke maine Anas bin Malik (RA) ko farmate hue suna ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Masjid mein thookna gunah hai aur ise chhupa dena iska kaffara hai.
It is narrated in another Hadith from Sayyidina Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Spitting in the Masjid is a sin and its expiation is to bury it."

(٣٥٨٩) ایک دوسری سند سے منقول ہے کہ سیدنا انس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مسجد میں تھوکنا گناہ ہے اور اس کا کفارہ اسے دفن کردینا ہے۔
(3589) Aik dusri sand se manqol hai keh Sayyidna Anas (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Masjid mein thookna gunah hai aur is ka kaffara use dafan kar dena hai.
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The good deeds and the evil deeds of my Ummah were presented to me, and I found among the good deeds the removal of harmful things from the road, and among the evil deeds I found spitting in the mosque and not burying it.”

(٣٥٩٠) ابوذر (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مجھ پر اپنی امت کی نیکیاں اور برائیاں پیش کی گئیں تو میں نے نیک اعمال میں راستے سے تکلیف دہ چیز کا ہٹانا بھی دیکھا اور برائیوں میں وہ تھوک بھی دیکھا جو کسی نے مسجد میں گرایا ہو پھر اس کو دفن نہ کیا گیا ہو۔
(3590) Abuzar (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: mujh par apni ummat ki nekiyan aur buraiyan pesh ki gayin to main ne nek amal mein raste se takleef deh cheez ka hatana bhi dekha aur buraiyon mein woh thook bhi dekha jo kisi ne masjid mein giraya ho phir us ko dafan na kiya gaya ho.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever comes to the mosque and spits or blows his nose, let him bury it in the ground if he is able. Otherwise, let him spit into his garment and take it with him when he leaves."

(٣٥٩١) ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو شخص مسجد میں آئے اور وہاں تھوک یا بلغم گرائے تو اسے مٹی میں کھود کر دبا دے۔ اگر ایسا نہیں کرسکتا تو پھر اپنے کپڑے میں تھوک لے اور جاتے وقت اسے ساتھ لے جائے۔
(3591) Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : Jo shakhs masjid mein aaye aur wahan thook ya balgham giraye to use mitti mein khod kar daba de. Agar aisa nahi kar sakta to phir apne kapre mein thook le aur jate waqt use sath le jaye.
