Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was gifted a silken striped shirt, which he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent to me. I wore it, then I noticed displeasure on your (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) face, so I tore it apart and made two headscarves out of it for my women.

(٤٢١٦) حضرت علی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ریشمی دھاری دار قمیص تحفہ میں دی گئی، وہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے میری طرف بھیج دی۔ میں نے اسے پہن لیا، پھر میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے چہرے میں غصہ محسوس کیا تو میں نے اسے پھاڑ کر اپنی عورتوں کے لیے دوپٹہ بنادیا۔
(4216) Hazrat Ali (RA) farmate hain : Nabi (SAW) ko reshmi dhari dar qamees tohfa mein di gai, woh aap (SAW) ne meri taraf bhej di. Mein ne usay pehen liya, phir mein ne aap (SAW) ke chehre mein ghussa mehsoos kiya to mein ne usay phaar kar apni auraton ke liye dopatta bana diya.
Ali (R.A.) narrates that a silk, striped shirt was gifted to the Prophet (PBUH). He (PBUH) sent it to me. When I wore it, he (PBUH) looked at me disapprovingly and said: I didn't give it to you to wear. As per his (PBUH) order, I distributed it among the women.

(٤٢١٧) حضرت علی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ریشمی دھاری دار قمیص ہدیہ کی گئی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے میری طرف بھیج دی، میں نے اسے پہن لیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ناپسند کرتے ہوئے مجھے دیکھا اور فرمایا : میں نے تجھے پہننے کے لیے نہیں دی تھی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے حکم کے مطابق میں نے اسے عورتوں تقسیم کردیا۔
4217 Hazrat Ali (RA) farmate hain keh Nabi (SAW) ko reshmi dhari daar qamees hadiya ki gae. Aap (SAW) ne meri taraf bhej di, maine ise pehan liya to aap (SAW) ne napasand karte hue mujhe dekha aur farmaya : maine tujhe pehanne ke liye nahi di thi. Aap (SAW) ke hukum ke mutabiq maine ise auraton taqseem kar diya.
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I saw stripes of silk on the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Umm Kulthum.

(٤٢١٨) انس بن مالک (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی بیٹی ام کلثوم (رض) پر ریشمی دھاری دار کپڑے دیکھے۔
(4218) Anas bin Malik (RA) farmate hain ke unhon ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki beti Umme Kulsoom (RA) par reshmi dhari daar kapre dekhe.
(4219) Ali (RA) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) took gold in his right hand and silk in his left, then raised both and said: “These two are forbidden for the men of my Ummah.”
(b) Ali (RA) narrates: The Prophet (PBUH) came to us while there was gold in one of his (PBUH) hands and silk in the other, he (PBUH) said: “These are forbidden for the men of my Ummah.”

(٤٢١٩) حضرت علی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دائیں ہاتھ میں سونے اور بائیں ہاتھ میں ریشم پکڑا، پھر دونوں کو بلند کیا اور فرمایا : یہ دونوں میری امت کے مردوں پر حرام ہیں۔
(ب) حضرت علی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمارے پاس آئے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ایک ہاتھ میں سونا اور دوسرے میں ریشم تھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ میری امت کے مردوں پر حرام ہیں۔
(4219) Hazrat Ali (RA) farmate hain keh Nabi (SAW) ne daen hath mein sona aur baen hath mein resham pakra, phir donon ko buland kiya aur farmaya : yeh donon meri ummat ke mardon par haram hain.
(b) Hazrat Ali (RA) farmate hain : Nabi (SAW) hamare pass aaye to aap (SAW) ke ek hath mein sona aur dusre mein resham tha, aap (SAW) ne farmaya : yeh meri ummat ke mardon par haram hain.
Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my Ummah, and forbidden to their males."

(٤٢٢٠) ابو موسیٰ اشعری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : سونا اور ریشم میری امت کی عورتوں کے لیے حلال اور مردوں پر حرام ہیں۔
(4220) Abu Musa Ashari (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi Akram (SAW) ne farmaya: Sona aur resham meri ummat ki auraton ke liye halal aur mardon par haram hain.
