Chapter on Prohibition of Women Adding Hair Extensions
باب: لا تصل المرأة شعرها بشعر غيرها
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4226
Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: “My daughter is married, and she is suffering from hair loss. Her hair has fallen out. Can I attach other hair to her head?” Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah’s curse is upon the woman who attaches hair (extensions) and the one who has it attached.”

(٤٢٢٦) اسماء بنت ابی بکر (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ ایک عورت نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئی اور کہنے لگی : میری بیٹی شادی شدہ ہے، اس کو بال گرنے کی بیماری لگی اور اس کے بال گرگئے۔ کیا اس کے سر کے بالوں میں میں دوسرے بال لگا دوں۔ حضرت اسما بنت ابی بکر (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بال لگانے اور لگوانی والی دونوں پر اللہ کی لعنت ہے۔
4226 Asma bint Abi Bakr (RA) farmati hain keh aik aurat Nabi (SAW) ke pass aai aur kehne lagi : meri beti shadi shuda hai, us ko baal girne ki bimari lagi aur us ke baal girgae. Kia us ke sar ke baalon mein mein doosre baal laga doon. Hazrat Asma bint Abi Bakr (RA) farmati hain keh Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya : baal lagane aur lagwane wali dono par Allah ki laanat hai.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: A woman from the Ansar had lost her hair. She wanted to attach some hair (artificially). The matter was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He cursed the woman who attaches hair (artificially) and the woman who has her hair attached.

(٤٢٢٧) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں : انصار کی ایک عورت کے بال گرگئے، اس نے بال لگوانے کا ارادہ کیا، یہ بات نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے سامنے ذکر کی گئی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے بال لگانے والی اور لگوانے والی دونوں پر لعنت کی۔
Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) farmati hain: Ansar ki ek aurat ke baal girgaye, usne baal lagwane ka irada kiya, yeh baat Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke samne zikr ki gayi to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne baal lagane wali aur lagwane wali dono par lanat ki.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah has cursed the woman who adds hair extensions (to others) and the woman who has hair extensions added to her, the woman who tattoos (others) and the woman who gets herself tattooed.”

(٤٢٢٨) ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ تعالیٰ بال لگانے والی اور لگوانے والی، سرمہ بھرنے اور بھروانے والی عورتوں پر لعنت کرتے ہیں۔
Abu Huraira (RA) farmate hain ki Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya : Allah Ta'ala baal lagane wali aur lagwane wali, surma bharne aur bharwane wali auraton par laanat karte hain.
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade women from mixing anything with their hair.

(٤٢٢٩) جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے عورت کو سر کے بالوں کے ساتھ کوئی چیز ملانے پر ڈانٹا ہے۔
(4229) Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) farmate hain : Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aurat ko sar ke baalon ke sath koi cheez milane par daanta hai.
Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) was standing on the pulpit during the year of Hajj. A lock of hair was in the hand of the royal guard. He was saying: “O people of Medina! Where are your scholars? I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to forbid from this and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say: 'The Children of Israel were destroyed when their women started doing this.'"

(٤٢٣٠) معاویہ بن ابی سفیان (رض) حج والے سال منبر پر کھڑے تھے۔ بالوں کی لِٹ شاہی محافظ کے ہاتھ میں تھی۔ وہ کہہ رہے تھے : مدینہ کے رہنے والو ! تمہارے علما کہاں گئے، میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس سے منع کرتے تھے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرماتے تھے : بنی اسرائیل اس وقت ہلاک ہوئے جب ان کی عورتوں نے اس چیز کو اپنا لیا۔
4230 Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan (Razi Allah Anhu) Hajj walay saal mimbar par kharay thay. Balon ki lit shahi muhafiz kay hath mein thi. Woh keh rahay thay : Madinay kay rehne walo! Tumharay ulama kahan gaye, maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) is se mana karte thay aur Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) farmate thay : Bani Israel us waqt halak huye jab un ki auraton ne is cheez ko apna liya.
