Ma'dan bin Talha reported: I said to Thauban, the freed slave of the Prophet (ﷺ), "Tell me of such a deed as will benefit me before Allah." He kept quiet. I again said, "Guide me to such a deed as may benefit me before Allah." He again kept quiet. I again said for the third time, "Tell me of a deed which may benefit me before Allah." He then said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: When a person prostrates himself before Allah, He exalts him by one degree in return for it and obliterates one of his sins thereby." Ma'dan said: I then met Abu'd-Darda' who narrated to me a similar hadith. In another chain of narration (it is stated) that Awza'i said: These words are also found in it: Make prostrations plentiful before Allah.

(٤٥٦٧) معدان بن طلحہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے آزاد کردہ غلام ثوبان سے کہا کہ مجھے ایسا عمل بتاؤ جس کی وجہ سے اللہ مجھے نفع دیں۔ وہ خاموش ہوگئے، میں نے دوبارہ پھر کہا : آپ میری رہنمائی فرمائیں ایسے کام کی جانب جس کی وجہ سے اللہ مجھے نفع پہنچائے۔ وہ پھر خاموش ہوگئے۔ میں نے تیسری مرتبہ پھر کہا کہ آپ مجھے ایسا عمل بتاؤ جس کی وجہ سے اللہ مجھے فائدہ دیں تو پھر انھوں نے فرمایا : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ جو بندہ اللہ کو ایک سجدہ کرتا ہے۔ اللہ اس کا ایک درجہ بلند کردیتے ہیں اور اس کی ایک غلطی ختم کردیتے ہیں۔ معدان کہتے ہیں : پھر میں ابودرداء (رض) سے ملا ۔ انھوں نے بھی مجھے اسی طرح بیان کیا۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں اوزاعی فرماتے ہیں : اس میں یہ لفظ زائد ہیں کہ تم اللہ کے لیے اپنے اوپر سجدوں کو لازم کرلو۔
(4567) Ma'dan bin Talha kehte hain ke maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke azad karda ghulam Sowban se kaha ke mujhe aisa amal batao jis ki wajah se Allah mujhe nafa den. Wo khamosh hogaye, maine dobara phir kaha: Aap meri rehnumai farmaen aise kaam ki janib jis ki wajah se Allah mujhe nafa pahunchaen. Wo phir khamosh hogaye. Maine teesri martaba phir kaha ke aap mujhe aisa amal batao jis ki wajah se Allah mujhe faida den to phir unhon ne farmaya: Maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna ke jo banda Allah ko ek sajda karta hai. Allah us ka ek darja buland karte hain aur us ki ek ghalti khatam karte hain. Ma'dan kehte hain: Phir main Abu Darda (RA) se mila. Unhon ne bhi mujhe isi tarah bayan kiya. Ek dusri riwayat mein Owzai farmate hain: Is mein ye lafz zayed hain ke tum Allah ke liye apne upar sajdon ko lazim karlo.
Rabi'a bin Ka'b Aslami said: I used to spend the night with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I would bring him water for his ablution and needs. For he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pray at night. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say: "Glory be to my Lord, the Most Holy. Glory be to my Lord, the Most Holy," repeating it for a long time. "Holy is my Lord, the Sustainer of all the worlds. Holy is my Lord, the Sustainer of all the worlds," repeating it for a long time. Rabi'a said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked me: "Do you have any need?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I want your companionship in Paradise." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Anything else?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I want your companionship in Paradise." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then help me in this by performing many prostrations."

(٤٥٦٨) ربیعہ بن کعب اسلمی فرماتے ہیں : میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس رات گزارتا تھا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے وضو اور ضرورت کے لیے پانی لاتا تھا ۔ کیونکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) رات کا قیام کرتے تھے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرماتے تھے : میرا رب پاک ہے اس کے لیے تمام تعریفیں ہے۔ میرا رب پاک ہے اس کے لیے تمام تعریفیں ہے بہت دیر تک کہتے رہتے۔ پاک ہے میرا رب جو تمام جہانوں کو پالنے والا ہے۔ پاک ہے میرا رب جو تمام جہانوں کو پالنے والا ہے۔ زیادہ دیر تک کہتے رہتے۔ ربیعہ کہتے ہیں : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھ سے کہا : کیا آپ کو کوئی ضرورت ہے۔ میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! جنت میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ساتھ چاہتا ہوں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کے علاوہ۔ میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! جنت میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ساتھ چاہتا ہوں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میری مدد کرو اپنے اوپر زیادہ سجدوں کو لازم کرنے کے ساتھ۔
(4568) rabia bin kab aslami farmate hain : main nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pas raat guzarta tha aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke wuzu aur zaroorat ke liye pani lata tha . kyunki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) raat ka qayam karte the. aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) farmate the : mera rabb pak hai is ke liye tamam tarifain hain. mera rabb pak hai is ke liye tamam tarifain hai bahut der tak kahte rahte. pak hai mera rabb jo tamam jahano ko palne wala hai. pak hai mera rabb jo tamam jahano ko palne wala hai. ziada der tak kahte rahte. rabia kahte hain : nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne mujh se kaha : kya aap ko koi zaroorat hai. main ne kaha : aye allah ke rasool ! jannat mein aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka sath chahta hun. aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : is ke ilawa. main ne kaha : aye allah ke rasool ! jannat mein aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka sath chahta hun. aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : meri madad karo apne upar ziada sajdon ko lazim karne ke sath.
Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When you are in prayer, it is as if you are knocking at the door of a king, and the more one knocks at the door of a king, the more likely it is that the door will be opened for him."

(٤٥٦٩) عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) فرماتے ہیں : جب تک آپ نماز میں ہیں تو گویا آپ کسی بادشاہ کے دروازے پر دستک دے رہے ہیں اور بادشاہ کے دروازے پر جتنی زیادہ دستک دی جاتی ہے تو دستک دینے والے کے لیے دروازہ کھول دیا جاتا ہے۔
(4569) Abdullah bin Masood (RA) farmate hain : Jab tak aap namaz mein hain to goya aap kisi badshah ke darwaze par dastak de rahe hain aur badshah ke darwaze par jitni zyada dastak di jati hai to dastak dene wale ke liye darwaza khol diya jata hai.
