Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer of the night and the day is two rak'ahs."

(٤٥٧٤) ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : رات اور دن کی نماز دو دو رکعات ہیں۔
(4574) ibn Umar (rz) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : raat aur din ki namaz do do rakat hain.
Said bin Jubair said that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) neither prayed four rak'ahs together nor separated them except for the obligatory prayers.

(٤٥٧٥) سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ابن عمر (رض) نہ تو چار رکعات اکٹھی پڑھتے تھے اور نہ ان کے درمیان فاصلہ کرتے تھے سوائے فرض نماز کے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kahte hain ki Ibn Umar (RA) na to chaar rakat ekthi parhte the aur na un ke darmiyaan fasla karte the siwae farz namaz ke.
'Abdur-Rahman bin Thauban reported that he heard from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the prayer of the night and the day is two rak'ahs. By this, he meant the voluntary prayer.

(٤٥٧٦) عبدالرحمن بن ثوبان فرماتے ہیں کہ اس نے ابن عمر (رض) سے سنا کہ رات اور دن کی نماز دو دو رکعات ہیں، اس سے ان کی مراد نفل نماز تھی۔

Fazl bin Abbas narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Prayer is in sets of two rak'ahs, between every two is a tashahhud.” Then you should be fearful, humble, and submissive, and you should raise your hands, and face the Qibla, and say: “O my Lord! O my Lord!” Whoever does not do this, his prayer is incomplete.

(٤٥٧٧) فضل بن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نماز دو دو رکعات ہیں ہر دو کے درمیان تشہد ہے۔ پھر ڈرنا، عاجزی اور انکساری کرنا ہے اور تو اپنے ہاتھوں کو بلند کر اور اپنے چہرے کو قبلہ رخ کر اور تو کہہ : اے میرے رب ! اے میرے رب ! جس نے ایسا نہ کیا تو یہ ناقص نماز ہے۔
4577 Fazal bin Abbas farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Namaz do do rakat hain har do ke darmiyaan tashahhud hai. Phir darna, aajzi aur inkesari karna hai aur tu apne hathon ko buland kar aur apne chehre ko qibla rukh kar aur tu keh: Aye mere Rab! Aye mere Rab! Jisne aisa na kiya to yeh naqis namaz hai.
(4578) It is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Prayer is in units of two rak'ahs, so after every two rak'ahs, recite the Tashahhud, and show humility and submissiveness, raise your hands and say: "O Allah! O Allah!" Whoever does not do so, his prayer is incomplete, incomplete.

(٤٥٧٨) مطلب فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نماز دو دو رکعات ہیں اور تو ہر دو رکعتوں کے بعد تشہد پڑھ اور تو عاجزی اور انکساری کر اور اپنے ہاتھوں کو بلند کر اور کہہ : اے اللہ ! اے اللہ ! جس نے ایسا نہ کیا تو اس کی نماز ناقص ہے، ناقص ہے۔
4578 matlab farmate hain ke rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: namaz do do rakat hain aur tu har do rakaton ke baad tashahhud parh aur tu aajzi aur inkesari kar aur apne hathon ko buland kar aur kahe: aye allah! aye allah! jisne aisa na kiya to uski namaz naqis hai, naqis hai.
