Chapter on whoever cuts off a piece of land or a stone, then did not inhabit it or only part of it
باب من أقطع قطيعة أو تحجر أرضا ثم لم يعمرها أو لم يعمر بعضها

Harith bin Bilal narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) accepted charity from old, worn-out gold. He gave Bilal bin Harith land in Aqeeq. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Bilal during his time, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not give it to you so you could prevent people from it, but rather to cultivate it." Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) distributed that land among the people.

(١١٨٢٤) حارث بن بلال اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پرانی کانوں سے صدقہ وصول کیا۔ آپ نے بلال بن حارث کو عقیق کی زمین دی۔ حضرت عمر (رض) نے اپنے زمانہ میں بلال سے کہا کہ تجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس لیے نہ دی تھی کہ تو لوگوں سے روک لے، بلکہ کام کرنے کے لیے دی تھی۔ پھر حضرت عمر (رض) نے وہ زمین لوگوں میں الاٹ کردی۔
(11824) Haris bin Bilal apne walid se naql farmate hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne purani kanon se sadqa wasool kiya. Aap ne Bilal bin Harith ko aqiq ki zameen di. Hazrat Umar (RA) ne apne zamane mein Bilal se kaha ke tujhe Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne is liye nah di thi ke tu logon se rok le, balke kaam karne ke liye di thi. Phir Hazrat Umar (RA) ne woh zameen logon mein ilaat kardi.
Abdullah bin Abi Bakr narrated: Bilal bin Harith Muzani came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and requested a land grant. He (ﷺ) gave him a vast piece of land. When Umar (RA) became Caliph, he said: "O Bilal! You acquired a vast land from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would never let anyone who asked return empty-handed, but you do not have the strength to manage what you possess." Bilal said: "Yes." Umar said: "Then keep what you have the strength for and return the rest, so we may distribute it among the Muslims." Bilal said: "I will not part with what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave me." Umar said: "You will have to," then Umar took the land from him and distributed it among the Muslims.

(١١٨٢٥) حضرت عبداللہ بن ابوبکر فرماتے ہیں : بلال بن حارث مزنی رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے زمین بطور جاگیر مانگی۔ آپ نے اسے لمبی چوڑی زمین دے دی۔ جب حضرت عمر (رض) خلیفہ بنے تو آپ نے کہا : اے بلال ! تو نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے لمبی چوڑی زمین حاصل کی تھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کسی سوال کرنے والے کو خالی نہ لوٹاتے تھے اور تو اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا جو تیرے پاس ہے۔ بلال نے کہا : ہاں۔ عمر نے کہا : تو اس کو دیکھ جو طاقت رکھتا ہے اتنی رکھ لے اور باقی دے دے۔ ہم مسلمانوں میں تقسیم کردیں بلال نے کہا : میں ایسا نہ کروں گا جو مجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دی ہے۔ حضرت عمر نے کہا : تجھے ایسا ضرور کرنا پڑے گا، پھر حضرت عمر نے اس سے زمین لے لی اور مسلمانوں میں تقسیم کردی۔
(11825) Hazrat Abdullah bin Abubakar farmate hain: Bilal bin Harith Muzni Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aye aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se zameen ba tor jagir mangi. Aap ne use lambi chaudi zameen de di. Jab Hazrat Umar (Razi Allah Anhu) khalifa bane to aap ne kaha: Aye Bilal! Tu ne Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se lambi chaudi zameen hasil ki thi aur Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kisi sawal karne wale ko khali na lotate the aur tu us ki taqat nahin rakhta jo tere pass hai. Bilal ne kaha: Haan. Umar ne kaha: To us ko dekh jo taqat rakhta hai utni rakh le aur baqi de de. Hum musalmanon mein taqseem kar den. Bilal ne kaha: Main aisa na karoon ga jo mujhe Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne di hai. Hazrat Umar ne kaha: Tujhe aisa zaroor karna pade ga, phir Hazrat Umar ne us se zameen le li aur musalmanon mein taqseem kar di.
Taoos narrated from his father, and he from a man of Medina, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave a place called 'Aqiq to a man. Then, during his time, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) found it to be quite vast. So, he gave some of it (back) to him and distributed the rest among other people.

(١١٨٢٦) طاؤس اپنے والد سے اور وہ مدینہ کے ایک آدمی سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے عقیق نام جگہ ایک آدمی کو دی، پھر حضرت عمر (رض) نے اپنے زمانہ میں وہ زیادہ محسوس کی تو بعض اس کو دی اور بعض دوسرے لوگوں میں بانٹ دی۔
Taous apne wald se aur wo Madina ke ek aadmi se naql farmate hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Aqiq naam jagah ek aadmi ko di, phir Hazrat Umar (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne apne zamane mein wo zyada mehsoos ki to baaz uss ko di aur baaz doosre logon mein baant di.
