Chapter on what is disliked of horses and what is preferable
باب ما يكره من الخيل وما يستحب
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 12894
(12894) Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked piebald horses. A piebald horse is one that has white on its right front foot and left hind foot, or on its right hind foot and left front foot.

(١٢٨٩٤) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) گھوڑوں میں شکال کو مکروہ سمجھتے تھے اور شکال وہ ہے جس کے دائیں پاؤں اور بائیں ہاتھ میں سفیدی ہو یا اس کے دائیں ہاتھ میں اور بائیں پاؤں میں سفیدی ہو۔
(12894) Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ghoron mein shakal ko makruh samajhte thay aur shakal woh hai jis ke daayen paon aur baayen hath mein sufaidi ho ya us ke daayen hath mein aur baayen paon mein sufaidi ho.
Narrated Abu Qatadah: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best horses are black with white blazes on their foreheads and upper lips. Then (the best) are those five-white marked, whose foreheads, both forelegs, both hind-legs below the hocks, and tails are white. If they are not black, then let them be dark bay or red with black tails and manes."

(١٢٨٩٥) حضرت ابو قتادہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بہتر گھوڑوں میں سیاہ رنگ والے ہیں، جن کی پیشانی اور اوپر کا ہونٹ سفید ہو، پھر پانچ کلیان جن کے سفید ہوں پس اگر سیاہ رنگ نہ ہو تو اسی صورت کا کمیت یعنی سیاہی سرخی مائل ہوں یا دم اور بال اس کے سیاہ ہوں اور باقی سرخ ہوں۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Behtar ghoron mein siyah rang wale hain, jin ki peshani aur upar ka hont safed ho, phir panch kalyan jin ke safed hon pas agar siyah rang na ho to usi surat ka kamit yani siahi surkhi mayel hon ya dum aur baal iske siyah hon aur baqi surkh hon.
Uqbah ibn Amir narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you intend to go on a military expedition, then buy a black horse whose five auspicious stars are shining, for then you will have spoils of war and safety."

(١٢٨٩٦) عقبہ بن عامر کہتے ہیں : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : جب تو غزوے کا ارادہ کرے تو سیاہ گھوڑا خرید جس کے پانچ کلیان چمک رہے ہوں، پس تو غنیمت والا اور سلامتی ہے۔
Aqba bin Aamir kehte hain : Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kaha : Jab tu ghazwe ka iraada kare to siyah ghora kharid jis ke panch kalyan chamak rahe hon, pas tu ghanimat wala aur salamati hai.
Abu Wahb Jashami reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Stick to the dark bay horse—the one with a reddish hue, with a blaze and four white socks; or the bright or dark chestnut with a blaze and four white socks; or the roan with a blaze and four white socks.”

(١٢٨٩٧) ابو وہب جثمی کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہر سیاہی سرخی مائل گھوڑے کو لازم پکڑوپانچ کلیان چمکنے والا یا گہرا سرخ زرد رنگ کا جس کے پانچ کلیان چمک رہے ہوں یا دھبوں والا پانچ کلیان چمک والا۔
Abu Wahab Jasmi kehte hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Har siyah surkhi mail ghore ko lazim pakro panch kalyan chamkne wala ya gehra surkh zard rang ka jis ke panch kalyan chamak rahe hon ya dhalbu wala panch kalyan chamak wala.
Abu Wahab narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Stick to the dark red-yellow horse, the bright or the dark red one." Muhammad the narrator said: I asked Ibn Muhajir: Why did you give preference to the chestnut horse? He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had dispatched an army, so the first person who came with victory was riding a chestnut horse.

(١٢٨٩٨) ابو وہب کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : گہرے سرخ زرد رنگ کے گھوڑے کو لازم پکڑو چمک دار یا سرخی سیاہی مائل چمکدار۔ محمد راوی کہتے ہیں : میں نے ابن مہاجر سے پوچھا، آپ نے اشقر کو کیوں فضیلت دی ؟ انھوں نے کہا : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک لشکر روانہ کیا تھا، پس جو پہلا شخص فتح کے ساتھ آیا تھا وہ اشقر گھوڑے والا تھا۔
Abu Wahab kahte hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: gehre surkh zard rang ke ghore ko lazim pakdo chamkdar ya surkhi siyahi mail chamkdar. Muhammad ravi kahte hain: main ne Ibn Muhajir se pucha, aap ne ashqar ko kyun fazilat di? Unhon ne kaha: Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek lashkar rawana kiya tha, pas jo pehla shakhs fatah ke sath aaya tha woh ashqar ghore wala tha.
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The blessing is in the forelock of the horse."

(١٢٨٩٩) ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : گھوڑے کی برکت اس کے گہرے زرد رنگ میں ہے۔
(12899) Ibne Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: ghore ki barkat uske gehre zard rang mein hai.
(12900) It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to name the female horse "Faras".

(١٢٩٠٠) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) سے ہے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) گھوڑوں میں مونث کا نام فرس رکھتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) se hai Rasool Allah (SAW) ghoron mein monis ka naam faras rakhte thay.
Abu Dharr Ghaffari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every Arabian horse has prayers said for it every day. It says: 'O Allah! Make me beloved to the one you have entrusted me with, and make me from among his most precious possessions, and among the best of his people."

(١٢٩٠١) حضرت ابو ذر غفاری (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کوئی بھی عربی النسل گھوڑا ہو اس کے لیے ہر دن دعائیں کی جاتی ہیں، وہ کہتا ہے : اے اللہ ! تو مجھے جس کے سپرد کیا ہے مجھے اس کے محبوب مال میں بنا دے اور اہل میں سے بھی۔
(12901) Hazrat Abu Zar Ghaffari (RA) kehte hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: koi bhi arabi nasal ghora ho us ke liye har din duain ki jati hain, woh kehta hai: Aye Allah! tu mujhe jis ke supurd kiya hai mujhe us ke mahboob maal mein bana de aur ahal mein se bhi.
