Chapter on a military detachment leaving from an army in the enemy’s land
باب السرية تخرج من عسكر في بلاد العدو
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 12928
Abu Musa narrated that: When the Prophet (ﷺ) had finished with Hunayn, he sent Abu Amir at the head of an army to Autas. So, he met Durayd bin As-Simma and he was killed and Allah defeated his companions.

(١٢٩٢٨) حضرت ابو موسیٰ فرماتے ہیں : جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) حنین سے فارغ ہوئے تو آپ نے ابو عامر کو اوطاس کے لشکر پر بھیجا۔ پس وہ درید بن صمہ کو ملے ، درید قتل کردیا گیا اور اللہ نے اس کے ساتھیوں کو شکست دے دی۔
Hazrat Abu Musa farmate hain : Jab Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Hunain se farigh hue to aap ne Abu Aamir ko Autas ke lashkar par bheja. Pas wo Duraid bin Sammah ko mile, Duraid qatal kar diya gaya aur Allah ne uske saathiyon ko shikast de di.
Amr bin Shuaib narrated from his father and he from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivered a sermon in the year of the conquest of Makkah. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O people! Whoever had a covenant in Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic period of ignorance), then Islam makes it stronger, and there is no (wrong) covenant in Islam, and Muslims are a group and strength against others besides themselves, their close ones will fulfill their responsibilities, those far away will be their helpers and their cavalry will defend those who stand up. An excerpt from a long hadith.

(١٢٩٢٩) حضرت عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فتح مکہ کے سال خطبہ دیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے لوگو ! جس کا جاہلیت میں کوئی عہد و پیمان تھا، پس اسلام اس کو اور مضبوط کرتا ہے اور اسلام میں کوئی (غلط) عہد و پیمان نہیں ہے اور مسلمان اپنے علاوہ دوسروں کے خلاف جماعت اور قوت ہیں، ان کے قریبی ان کی ذمہ داریوں کو ادا کریں گے، دور والے ان کے مددگار ہوں گے اور ان کے سرایا قیام پذیروں کا دفاع کریں گے۔ لمبی حدیث کا ٹکڑا ہے۔
12929 hazrat amr bin shoaib apne walid se aur wo apne dada se naql farmate hain ke rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne fatah makkah ke saal khutba diya aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya ae logo jis ka jahiliyat mein koi ahd o paiman tha pas islam us ko aur mazboot karta hai aur islam mein koi (galat) ahd o paiman nahi hai aur musalman apne alawa dusron ke khilaf jamaat aur quwwat hain un ke qareebi un ki zimmedariyon ko ada karenge door wale un ke madadgar honge aur un ke saraiya qayam paziron ka difa karenge lambi hadees ka tukda hai
Ibn Abi Ziyad said: It reached us that Habib bin Maslamah fought a battle against the Romans. They captured a man and accused him (of being a spy). He informed them that the king of Rome was behind that mountain with his army. He (Habib) said to his companions: "Advise me." Some said: "We think you should stay put until the people (Muslims) join you." Others said: "Return to your group and don't go near them; we cannot handle them." He said: "I promise Allah that I will not break my pledge (of fighting). Indeed, I will remain among them (the enemy)." When the day broke, they (Romans) spread out on the ground. So he encouraged (his men) and they charged, along with their companions, causing the enemy to be routed and they obtained spoils of war. Then, those people who did not participate in the fight came and said: "We are also partners in the spoils." But those who participated in the fight said: "There is no share for you; you did not participate in the fight." Abdullah bin Zubair said: "Those who were present (in the battle) were with Habib; there is no share for you." So he wrote about it to Muawiyah. They wrote (in reply) to divide (the spoils) amongst all. Ar-Rabi said: "I think that Muawiyah wrote to Umar (ibn al-Khattab), so Umar gave this verdict."

(١٢٩٣٠) ابن ابی ذئب کہتے ہیں : ہمیں یہ بات پہنچی کہ حبیب بن مسلمہ نے روم کا غزوہ لڑا۔ انھوں نے ایک آدمی کو پکڑا۔ انھوں نے اس پر تہمت لگائی، اس نے خبر دی کہ وہ جاسوس ہے، اس نے کہا کہ روم کا بادشاہ لوگوں کے ساتھ اس پہاڑ کے پیچھے ہے، اس نے اپنے ساتھیوں سے کہا : تم مجھے کوئی نصیحت کرو۔ بعض نے کہا : ہم تجھے دیکھتے ہیں کہ تو کھڑا رہے یہاں تک کہ لوگ تجھ سے مل جائیں اور بعض نے کہا کہ تو اپنی جماعت کی طرف لوٹ جا اور ان کی طرف نہ آنا، پس ہمیں اس کی طاقت نہیں ہے۔ اس نے کہا : میں اللہ سے وعدہ دیتا ہوں کہ عہد و پیمان نہیں توڑوں گا۔ البتہ میں ان میں رہوں گا، جب دن چڑھا تو وہ زمین پر پھیل گئے، پس اس نے ابھارا اور اپنے ساتھیوں کو بھی ابھارا۔ دشمن کو شکست ہوئی اور ان کو غنیمتیں ملیں۔ پس وہ لوگ ملے جو قتال میں حاضر نہ ہوئے تھے۔ انھوں نے کہا : ہم بھی غنیمت میں تمہارے شریک ہیں اور جو قتال میں حاضر ہوئے تھے، انھوں نے کہا : تمہارے لیے حصہ نہیں ہے، تم قتال میں حاضر نہیں ہوئے اور عبداللہ بن زبیر نے کہا : جو حاضر ہوئے وہ حبیب کے ساتھ تھے۔ تمہارے لیے کوئی حصہ نہیں ہے، پس اس نے یہ معاویہ کی طرف لکھا۔ انھوں نے لکھا کہ سب میں تقسیم کر دو ۔ راویکہتے ہیں : میں گمان کرتا ہوں کہ معاویہ نے حضرت عمر (رض) کو لکھا تو عمر (رض) نے یہ جواب دیا۔
12930 Ibn Abi Zaib kehte hain : humain yeh baat pahunchi keh Habib bin Muslimah ne Room ka gazwah lara. Unhon ne ek aadmi ko pakra. Unhon ne us par tohmat lagai, us ne khabar di keh woh jasus hai, us ne kaha keh Room ka badshah logon ke sath is pahar ke peeche hai, us ne apne sathiyon se kaha : tum mujhe koi nasihat karo. Baz ne kaha : hum tujhe dekhte hain keh tu khara rahe yahan tak keh log tujh se mil jayen aur baz ne kaha keh tu apni jamaat ki taraf laut ja aur un ki taraf na aana, pas humain us ki taqat nahin hai. Us ne kaha : main Allah se waada deta hoon keh ahd o paiman nahin torunga. Albatta main un mein rahunga, jab din chrha to woh zameen par phel gaye, pas us ne ubhaara aur apne sathiyon ko bhi ubhaara. Dushman ko shikast hui aur un ko ghanimaten mili. Pas woh log mile jo qatal mein hazir na hue the. Unhon ne kaha : hum bhi ghanimat mein tumhare sharik hain aur jo qatal mein hazir hue the, unhon ne kaha : tumhare liye hissa nahin hai, tum qatal mein hazir nahin hue aur Abdullah bin Zubair ne kaha : jo hazir hue woh Habib ke sath the. Tumhare liye koi hissa nahin hai, pas us ne yeh Muawiya ki taraf likha. Unhon ne likha keh sab mein taqsim kar do . Rawi kehte hain : main guman karta hoon keh Muawiya ne Hazrat Umar (RaziAllahu Anhu) ko likha to Umar (RaziAllahu Anhu) ne yeh jawab diya.
