Abu Ubaid narrated from Ka'b bin 'Ajrah that he entered the mosque and found 'Abdur-Rahman bin Hakam sitting and delivering a sermon. He said: "Look at this wicked person sitting and delivering a sermon, while Allah says: 'And when they see some merchandise or some amusement, they break away to it, and leave you standing.' (Al-Jumu'ah: 11)"

(٥٧٠٤) ابو عبید کعب بن عجرہ سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ مسجد میں داخل ہوئے اور عبد الرحمن بن حکم بیٹھ کر خطبہ دے رہاتھا۔ فرمانے لگے : دیکھو اس خبیث کی طرف بیٹھ کر خطبہ دیتا ہے حالانکہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں :{ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَۃً أَوْ لَہْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَیْہَا وَتَرَکُوکَ قَائِمًا } [الجمعۃ : ١١] اور جب انھوں نے تجارتی قافلہ دیکھا یا کھیل تو اس کی طرف چل دیے اور انھوں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کھڑا ہوا چھوڑدیا۔
Abu Ubaid Kab bin Ajra se naqal farmate hain ki woh masjid mein dakhil hue aur Abdur Rahman bin Hakam baith kar khutba de rahe the. Farmane lage: Dekho is khabees ki taraf baith kar khutba deta hai halanki Allah farmate hain: { Wa iza ra'au tijaratan aw lahwan infazoo ilaiha wa tarakooka qaima } [al-Jumu'ah: 11] aur jab unhon ne tijarati qafila dekha ya khel to is ki taraf chal diye aur unhon ne aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko khara huwa chhor diya.
Salim bin Abi Ja'd reported on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand and deliver the sermon on Friday. A caravan came from Syria, so the people went towards it and only 12 men were left with him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then this verse was revealed: "And when they see some merchandise or some amusement, they break away to it, and leave you standing." [Al-Jumu'ah: 11].

(٥٧٠٥) سالم بن أبی جعد جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جمعہ کے دن کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ دیتے تھے۔ ایک قافلہ شام سے آیا، لوگ اس کی طرف چلے گئے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ صرف ١٢ آدمی رہ گئے تو یہ آیت نازل کی گئی : { وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَۃً أَوْ لَہْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَیْہَا وَتَرَکُوکَ قَائِمًا } [الجمعۃ : ١١] اور جب وہ تجارتی قافلہ دیکھتے ہیں یا کھیل تو اس کی جانب پلٹ جاتے ہیں اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کھڑا ہوا چھوڑ جاتے ہیں۔
5705 Salim bin Abi Ja'ad Jabir bin Abdullah (Razi Allah Anhu) se naqal farmate hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Jumu'ah ke din kharay ho kar khutbah dete thay. Ek qafilah Sham se aaya, log iski taraf chale gaye aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath sirf 12 aadmi reh gaye to yeh ayat nazil ki gayi: {Wa Iza Ra'au Tijaratan Aw Lahwan Infazzu Ilayha Wa Tarakuka Qaimaan} [Al-Jumu'ah: 11] aur jab woh tijarati qafilah dekhte hain ya khel to iski jaanib palat jate hain aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko khara hua chhor jate hain.
Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand and deliver the Friday sermon. Then he would sit down, then he would stand and deliver (the second part of) the sermon. Whoever tells you that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon while sitting is lying. By Allah! I have prayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) more than two thousand times.

(٥٧٠٦) جابر بن سمرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوئے خطبہء جمعہ ارشاد فرماتے تھے۔ پھر بیٹھ جاتے، پھر کھڑے ہو کر (دوسرا) خطبہ ارشاد فرماتے۔ جو آپ کو خبر دے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بیٹھ کر خطبہ ارشاد فرماتے تھے وہ جھوٹ بولتا ہے۔ اللہ کی قسم ! میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ دو ہزار سے زائد نمازیں پڑھی ہیں۔
5706 Jaber bin Samra farmate hain keh Nabi khare hue khutba juma irshad farmate thay phir baith jate phir khare hokar doosra khutba irshad farmate jo apko khabar de keh ap baith kar khutba irshad farmate thay woh jhoot bolta hai Allah ki qasam main ne apke sath do hazar se ziada namazain parhi hain
(5707) Haseen narrates: I heard from Sha'bi that Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was the first to sit on the pulpit.
Sheikh says that he did this because of old age or illness.

(٥٧٠٧) حصین فرماتے ہیں : میں نے شعبی سے سنا کہ سب سے پہلے منبر پر بیٹھنے کی ابتدامعاویہ (رض) نے کی۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے بڑھاپے یا بیماری کی وجہ سے ایسا کیا۔
(5707) Hiseen farmate hain : main ne Shabi se suna keh sab se pehle mimbar par bethne ki ibtida Muawiya (Raz) ne ki. Sheikh farmate hain keh unhon ne budhape ya bimari ki wajah se aisa kiya.
