Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Which are the major sins?" He replied, "To associate partners with Allah, though He alone created you." I asked, "Then which?" He said, "To kill your child for fear of poverty."

(١٥٨٣٩) ابن مسعود (رض) فرماتے ہیں : میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سوال کیا کہ کبیرہ گناہ کون سے ہیں ؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا :” تو اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرے حالانکہ وہ تیرا خالق ہے “ میں نے پوچھا : پھر کون سا ؟ فرمایا کہ ” اپنی اولاد کو رزق کے خوف سے قتل کرنا۔ “
Ibn Masood (Razi Allah Anhu) farmate hain : main ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se sawal kiya ke kabira gunah kon se hain ? To aap ne farmaya :” Tu Allah ke sath shirk kare halanke wo tera khalik hai “ main ne poocha : phir kon sa ? Farmaya ke ” apni aulad ko rizq ke khauf se qatl karna. “

(١٥٨٤٠) عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کبیرہ گناہوں کے متعلق پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا : اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرنا۔ میں نے پوچھا : پھر کون سا ؟ فرمایا : رزق کے خوف سے اپنی اولاد کو قتل کرنا۔ میں نے پوچھا : پھر کون سا ؟ فرمایا : پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرنا۔
(15840) Abdullah bin Masood (RA) se manqol hai keh maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se kabira gunahon ke mutaliq poocha to aap ne farmaya: Allah ke sath shirk karna. Maine poocha: phir kon sa? Farmaya: rizq ke khauf se apni aulad ko qatal karna. Maine poocha: phir kon sa? Farmaya: padosi ki biwi se zina karna.
Abdullah bin Masud narrated that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about major sins. He said: To associate partners with Allah. He then asked: Then what? He said: To kill your child for fear that he will eat your food. He asked: Then what? He said: To commit adultery with your neighbor's wife.

(١٥٨٤١) عبداللہ بن مسعود فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کبیرہ گناہوں کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا : اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرانا، پھر پوچھا : پھر کون سا ؟ فرمایا کہ اپنی اولاد کو اس لیے قتل کرے کہ وہ تیرے ساتھ کھائے گی۔ پوچھا : پھر کون سا ؟ فرمایا : اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرنا۔
15841 Abdullah bin Masood farmate hain ke ek shakhs ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se kabira gunahon ke bare mein poocha to aap ne farmaya : Allah ke sath sharik thehrana, phir poocha : phir kon sa ? farmaya ke apni aulad ko is liye qatl kare ke woh tere sath khaye gi. poocha : phir kon sa ? farmaya : apne padosi ki biwi se zina karna.
It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was speaking and the Companions were sitting around him, he said: "Give me your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not commit adultery, you will not kill your children, you will not slander anyone, and you will not disobey me in good deeds." He further said: "Whoever amongst you fulfills this pledge, his reward is with Allah. And whoever falls into any of these sins and is punished for it in this life, that is an expiation for him. And whoever conceals his sins, then his matter is up to Allah, He may forgive him or He may punish him." Ubadah said: "So we pledged allegiance to him on that."

(١٥٨٤٢) عبادہ بن صامت (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرما رہے تھے اور صحابہ آپ کے ارد گرد بیٹھے ہوئے تھی کہ تم میری اس بات پر بیعت کرو کہ کبھی اللہ کے ساتھ شرک نہیں کرو گے، چوری اور زنا نہیں کرو گے۔ اپنی اولاد کو قتل نہیں کرو گے، کسی کے اوپر بہتان بازی نہیں کرو گے۔ نیکی کے کاموں میں نافرمانی نہیں کرو گے۔ جو یہ وعدے پورے کرے گا اس کو اللہ بہترین اجر سے سے نوازیں گے۔ اگر کسی سے یہ گناہ سر زد ہوجائیں تو دنیا میں سزا کامل جانا اس کے لیے کفارہ بن جائے گا اور اگر کسی کے گناہ پر پردہ پڑا رہا تو اس کا معاملہ اللہ کے ساتھ ہے چاہے تو اسے معاف کر دے چاہے تو سزا دے۔ عبادہ فرماتے ہیں : ہم نے اس پر آپ سے بیعت کرلی۔
(15842) Ubaadah bin Saamit (Razi Allahu Anhu) se manqool hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) farma rahe thay aur Sahaba aap ke ird gird baithe hue thay ki tum meri iss baat par bai'at karo ki kabhi Allah ke saath shirk nahi karoge, chori aur zina nahi karoge. Apni aulad ko qatal nahi karoge, kisi ke upar buhtan baazi nahi karoge. Neiki ke kaamon mein nafarmani nahi karoge. Jo ye waade poore karega usko Allah behtarin ajr se nawazein ge. Agar kisi se ye gunaah sarzad hojaein to duniya mein saza kaamil jaana uske liye kaffara ban jayega aur agar kisi ke gunaah par parda para raha to uska mamla Allah ke saath hai chahe to use maaf karde chahe to saza de. Ubaadah farmate hain: humne iss par aapse bai'at karli.
