Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “No person who enters Paradise will ever wish to return to this world even if he were to be given all that is in it, except a martyr who will desire to return to the world and be martyred ten times because he has seen the honor and status of martyrdom.”
(b) It is narrated in Tyalsi that no one who attains Paradise from Allah, the Exalted, would wish to return to this world except a martyr, for he would have witnessed the virtue of martyrdom, and so he would wish to be martyred ten times over.

(١٨٥١٧) حضرت انس بن مالک (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول مکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جنت میں داخل ہونے کے بعد کوئی بھی شخص دوبارہ دنیا میں آنا پسند نہیں کرے گا، اگرچہ اسے دنیا کی تمام چیزیں بھی دی جائیں مگر شہید آرزو کرے گا کہ وہ دنیا میں جائے اور دس بار شہید کیا جائے کیونکہ وہ عزت وشرف دیکھ چکا ہوتا ہے۔
(ب) ۔ طیالسی کی روایت میں ہے کہ کوئی بندہ ایسا نہیں کہ وہ اللہ رب العزت سے جنت حاصل کرنے کے بعد دنیا میں آنا پسند کرے سوائے شہید کے؛ کیونکہ وہ شہادت کی فضیلت کو دیکھ چکا ہوگا، اس لیے وہ دس مرتبہ شہید کیے جانے کی خواہش کرے گا۔
(18517) Hazrat Anas bin Malik (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Mukarram ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jannat mein dakhil hone ke baad koi bhi shakhs dobara duniya mein aana pasand nahi karega, agarche use duniya ki tamam cheezen bhi di jayen magar shaheed aarzoo karega ki woh duniya mein jaye aur dus baar shaheed kiya jaye kyunki woh izzat o sharaf dekh chuka hota hai.
(b). Tiyalsi ki riwayat mein hai ki koi banda aisa nahi ki woh Allah Rab-ul-Izzat se jannat hasil karne ke baad duniya mein aana pasand kare siwaye shaheed ke; kyunki woh shahadat ki fazilat ko dekh chuka hoga, is liye woh dus martaba shaheed kiye jane ki khwahish karega.
(18518) It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he was asked about the souls of the martyrs, he said: We also inquired about them from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The souls of these martyrs are in the crops of green birds. There are lamps hanging for them under the Throne, they fly wherever they want. Then they stay in those lamps and Allah Almighty turns to them and asks: Do you need anything? They say: What do we need when we fly in Paradise wherever we want? And when they realized that they would continue to be asked, they said: O Lord! We want You to put our souls back into our bodies so that we may be martyred once again in Your way. When Allah Almighty saw that they have no need, they will be left as they are. (b). In Muqri's narration it is stated that we asked Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) about this verse: {And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead, but rather they are alive with their Lord, being provided for. They are joyful…} [Al-Imran 169-170]. He said: We also asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it.

(١٨٥١٨) مسروق حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ان سے شہداء کی روحوں کے بارے میں سوال کیا گیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : ہم نے بھی ان کے بارے میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے استفسار کیا تھا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا تھا کہ ان شہداء کی ارواح سبز پرندوں کے پیٹوں میں ہیں۔ ان کے لیے عرش کے نیچے فانوس معلق ہیں، وہ جہاں چاہتے ہیں اڑتے پھرتے ہیں۔ پھر ان فانوسوں میں رہتے ہیں اور اللہ تعالیٰ ان کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر پوچھتا ہے کہ تمہیں کچھ چاہیے ؟ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں کیا چاہیے جب کہ ہم جنت میں جہاں چاہتے ہیں اڑتے پھرتے ہیں اور جب انھوں نے محسوس کیا کہ ان سے پوچھا جاتا رہے گا۔ تب انھوں نے عرض کیا : اے پروردگار ! ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ آپ ہماری ارواح کو ہمارے جسموں میں داخل فرمائیں تاکہ ایک مرتبہ پھر تیرے راستے میں کٹ مریں۔ جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے دیکھا کہ انھیں ضرورت نہیں تو ان کو ویسے چھوڑ دیا جائے گا۔ (ب) ۔ مقری کی روایت میں ہے کہ ہم نے اس آیت کے بارے میں عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) سے پوچھا : { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِیلِ اللَّہِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْیَائٌ عِنْدَ رَبُّہُمْ یُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِینَ۔۔۔} [آل عمران ١٦٩-١٧٠] جو لوگ اللہ کے راہ میں مارے گئے ہیں، انھیں مردہ نہ سمجھو بلکہ وہ اللہ کے ہاں زندہ ہیں اور انھیں رزق مل رہا ہے۔ کہتے ہیں : ہم نے اس کے بارے میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے بھی پوچھا تھا۔
(18518) Masrooq Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Razi Allah Anhu) se naql farmate hain ki unse shuhada ki rohon ke bare mein sawal kya gaya to unhon ne farmaya : hum ne bhi unke bare mein Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se istafsar kya tha to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya tha ki un shuhada ki ارواح sabz parindon ke peiton mein hain. Unke liye Arsh ke neeche fanoos moallik hain, woh jahan chahte hain urte phirte hain. Phir un fanooson mein rehte hain aur Allah Ta'ala unki taraf mutawajjah ho kar poochhta hai ki tumhen kuchh chahiye? Woh kehte hain ki humein kya chahiye jab ki hum jannat mein jahan chahte hain urte phirte hain aur jab unhon ne mehsoos kya ki unse poochha jata rahega. Tab unhon ne arz kya : Aye Parwardigaar! hum chahte hain ki aap hamari ارواح ko hamare jismon mein dakhil farmayen taake ek martaba phir tere raste mein kat marein. Jab Allah Ta'ala ne dekha ki unhen zaroorat nahin to unko waise chhod diya jayega. (b). Muqri ki riwayat mein hai ki humne is ayat ke bare mein Abdullah bin Masood (Razi Allah Anhu) se poochha : { وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِی سَبِيلِ اللَّہِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْیَائٌ عِنْدَ رَبُّہُمْ یُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِینَ۔۔۔} [Al Imran 169-170] jo log Allah ke rah mein mare gaye hain, unhen murda na samjho balki woh Allah ke han zinda hain aur unhen rizq mil raha hai. Kehte hain : humne iske bare mein Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se bhi poochha tha.
Masruq narrated that we asked Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) about this verse, so he said: The souls of the martyrs are in the bellies of green birds.

(١٨٥١٩) مسروق فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم نے اس آیات کے بارے میں حضرت عبداللہ (رض) سے پوچھا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : شہداء کی ارواح سبز پرندوں کے پیٹوں میں ہوتی ہیں۔
(18519) Masruq farmate hain keh hum ne is ayyat ke bare mein Hazrat Abdullah (RA) se poocha to unhon ne farmaya: Shuhada ki aroah sabz parindon ke peeton mein hoti hain.
Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas (RA): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When your brethren were martyred at Uhud, Allah made their souls into green birds that fly over the rivers of Paradise and eat from its fruits. There are lamps of gold hanging beneath the Throne for them, in which they reside. When they found themselves provided with food, drink, and a good resting place, they said, "Who will convey our statement to our brothers, informing them that we are alive in Paradise, being provided for, so that they may not lose heart in Jihad or show cowardice in battle?" Allah the Exalted said, "I will convey your statement to them." And Allah said: {And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, being provided for.} [Al-Imran 169]

(١٨٥٢٠) حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تمہارے بھائی احد کے دن شہید ہوگئے تو اللہ نے ان کی ارواح کو سبز پرندوں میں داخل فرما دیا۔ جو جنت کی نہروں پر اڑتے پھرتے ہیں اور اس کے پھلوں سے کھاتے ہیں، عرش کے نیچے ان کے لیے سونے کے فانوس معلق ہیں جن میں وہ رہتے ہیں۔ جب انھوں نے کھانے پینے اور اچھی آرام گاہ کو پایاتو کہا کہ ہمارے بھائیوں کو ہماری بات کون پہنچائے گا کہ ہم جنت میں زندہ ہیں، رزق دیے جاتے ہیں تاکہ وہ جہاد سے بےرغبتی اور لڑائی کے وقت بزدلی نہ دکھائیں۔ اللہ رب العزت نے فرمایا : میں تمہاری بات ان تک پہنچا دیتا ہوں اللہ کا فرمان ہے : { وَ لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِیْنَ قُتِلُوْا فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰہِ اَمْوَاتًا بَلْ اَحْیَآئٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّھِمْ یُرْزَقُوْنَ } [آل عمران ١٦٩]
(18520) Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jab tumhare bhai Uhud ke din shaheed hogaye to Allah ne un ki arwah ko sabz parindon mein dakhil farma diya. Jo jannat ki nahron par urte phirte hain aur us ke phalon se khate hain, arsh ke neeche un ke liye sone ke fanoos muallak hain jin mein woh rehte hain. Jab unhon ne khane peene aur achi aaram gah ko paya to kaha ke hamare bhaiyon ko hamari baat kon pohanchaye ga ke hum jannat mein zinda hain, rizq diye jate hain taake woh jihad se berughbati aur larai ke waqt buzdli na dikhayen. Allah Rab ul Izzat ne farmaya : Main tumhari baat un tak pohancha deta hun Allah ka farman hai : { Wa La Tahsabannal Ladhina Qutiloo Fee Sabeelillahi Amwatan Bal Ahyaon 'Inda Rabbihim Yurzaqoon } [Aal Imran 169].
Hina bint Mu'awiya narrated that her paternal uncle said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "Who will enter Paradise?" He (ﷺ) said: "The Prophets, the martyrs, the child who is born, and the girl who is buried alive."

(١٨٥٢١) حناء بنت معاویہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میرے چچا نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے پوچھا : جنت میں کون داخل ہوگا ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نبی، شھید، پیدا ہونے والا بچہ اور زندہ درگور کی گئی بچی۔
(18521) Hana bint Muawiya farmaty hain keh mere chacha ne bayan kiya keh maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se poocha: Jannat mein kaun dakhil hoga? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Nabi, shaheed, paida honay wala bachcha aur zinda dargor ki gayi bachchi.
Sahl bin Abi Imamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif narrated from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah forgives the martyr for his sins with the first drop of his blood."

(١٨٥٢٢) سھل بن ابی امامہ بن سھل بن حنیف اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : شہید کے خون کے پہلے قطرے پر اللہ اس کے گناہ معاف کردیتے ہیں۔
(18522) Sahl bin Abi Imama bin Sahl bin Hanif apne walid se aur wo apne dada se naql farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Shaheed ke khoon ke pehle qatre par Allah uske gunah maaf kar dete hain.
Utbah bin Abdus Salam narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The slain are of three types: a man who fights the enemy with his life and wealth and is martyred, then Allah grants him a place under the Throne and the Prophets are a degree above him because of Prophethood; and a man who fights the enemy in the battlefield after committing sins and is martyred, then this martyrdom ends his sins and mistakes, because the sword is the eraser of mistakes, and it will be said to such a person to enter Paradise from whichever of its eight gates he wishes. Paradise has eight gates and Hell has seven gates, and the gates of Paradise are superior to one another; and a hypocrite man who fights in the battlefield with his wealth and life and is killed, then he is a dweller of Hell, because the sword does not end hypocrisy.

(١٨٥٢٣) عتبہ بن عبد سلمی فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مقتول تین قسم کے ہیں، ایسا شخص جو اپنی جان اور مال لیکر دشمن کے مقابلہ میں لڑتے ہوئے شہید ہوجاتا ہے تو اللہ اس شخص کو عرش کے نیچے جگہ عطا کرتے ہیں اور انبیاء نبوت کی وجہ سے ایک درجہ اس سے اوپر ہوتے ہیں اور ایسا شخص جو گناہ کرنے کے بعد میدانِ جہاد میں دشمن سے لڑتے ہوئے شہید ہوجاتا ہے تو یہ شہادت اس کے گناہوں اور غلطیوں کو ختم کردیتی ہے۔ کیونکہ تلوار غلطیوں کو ختم کرنے والی ہے اور ایسے شخص سے کہا جائے گا کہ جنت کے آٹھ دروازوں میں سے جس سے چاہے داخل ہوجائے۔ جنت کے آٹھ اور جہنم کے سات دروازے ہیں اور جنت کے دروازے ایک دوسرے سے فضیلت رکھتے ہیں اور منافق آدمی اپنے مال وجان کے ساتھ میدان جہاد میں لڑائی کرتے ہوئے مارا جائے تو یہ جہنمی ہے کیونکہ تلوار نفاق کو ختم نہیں کرتی۔
18523 Utbah bin Abd Salmi farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya maqtool teen qisam ke hain aisa shakhs jo apni jaan aur maal lekar dushman ke muqable mein ladte hue shaheed hojaata hai to Allah uss shakhs ko arsh ke neeche jagah ata karte hain aur anbiya nabuat ki wajah se ek darja uss se upar hote hain aur aisa shakhs jo gunah karne ke baad maidan e jihad mein dushman se ladte hue shaheed hojaata hai to yeh shahadat uss ke gunahon aur ghaltiyon ko khatam kar deti hai kyunki talwar ghaltiyon ko khatam karne wali hai aur aise shakhs se kaha jayega ke jannat ke aath darwazon mein se jis se chahe dakhil hojae jannat ke aath aur jahannam ke saat darwaze hain aur jannat ke darwaze ek dusre se fazilat rakhte hain aur munafiq aadmi apne maal o jaan ke saath maidan e jihad mein laraai karte hue mara jae to yeh jahannami hai kyunki talwar nifaaq ko khatam nahin karti.
Abdullah bin Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Allah, the Lord of Glory, wonders at two men: A man who gets up from his bed and blanket, from amongst his loved ones and family, to offer prayer, hoping for My Mercy and fearing My punishment. And a man who fights in the way of Allah and is defeated, yet he knows what lies in being defeated (i.e., sin), and what lies in returning (to jihad, i.e., reward), so he returns (to fighting) until he is martyred.” Allah, the Lord of Glory, will say to His Angels, “Look at this slave of Mine who, out of hope for My Mercy and fear of My punishment, returned until he sacrificed his life.”

(١٨٥٢٤) حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ رب العزت دو آدمیوں سے تعجب کرتے ہیں : ایک وہ جو اپنے بستر اور لحاف سے اپنے محبوبوں اور گھر والوں کے درمیان سے نماز کے لیے اٹھتا ہے۔ میری نعمتوں میں رغبت کرتے ہوئے اور میرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہوئے اور ایک وہ شخص جو اللہ کے راستے میں لڑائی کرتے ہوئے شکست کھا جاتا ہے۔ وہ جانتا ہے کہ شکست کی وجہ سے اس پر ایک گناہ ہے اور واپس پلٹنے میں کیا ثواب ہے تو دوبارہ لڑائی کرتے ہوئے شہید ہوجاتا ہے۔ اللہ رب العزت اپنے فرشتوں سے کہتے ہیں : میرے بندے کی طرف دیکھو کہ میری نعمتوں میں رغبت کرتے اور میرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہوئے واپس پلٹ کر جان کا نذرانہ پیش کردیا۔
(18524) Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Allah Rab ul Izzat do admiyon se taajjub karte hain: Ek wo jo apne bistar aur lihaf se apne mehboobon aur ghar walon ke darmiyan se namaz ke liye uthta hai. Meri naimaton mein ragbat karte hue aur mere azab se darte hue aur ek wo shaks jo Allah ke raste mein laraai karte hue shikast kha jata hai. Wo janta hai ki shikast ki wajah se us par ek gunah hai aur wapas palatne mein kya sawab hai to dobara laraai karte hue shaheed ho jata hai. Allah Rab ul Izzat apne farishton se kehte hain: Mere bande ki taraf dekho ki meri naimaton mein ragbat karte aur mere azab se darte hue wapas palat kar jaan ka nazrana pesh kar diya.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The martyr does not feel the pain of being killed but as much as one of you feels the pain of an ant's sting.

(١٨٥٢٥) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : شہید قتل کی اتنی تکلیف بھی محسوس نہیں کرتا۔ مگر جتنی تم چیونٹی کے ڈسنے کی وجہ سے محسوس کرتے ہو۔
(18525) Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Shaheed qatal ki utni takleef bhi mehsoos nahin karta magar jitni tum cheonti ke dasne ki wajah se mehsoos karte ho.
Abdullah bin Habshi reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the most excellent deeds. He said, “Faith with no doubt, Jihad with no treachery, and an accepted Hajj.” It was said, “Which prayer is the most excellent?” He (ﷺ) said, “The one with a long Qiyam (standing).” It was said, “Which charity is the most excellent?” He (ﷺ) said, “That of a man who spends from what little he has.” It was said, “Which migration is the most excellent?” He (ﷺ) said, “That in which one gives up what Allah has prohibited.” It was said, “Which Jihad is most excellent?” He (ﷺ) said, “That of one who strives against the polytheists with his wealth and his life.” It was said, “Which death is the most excellent?” He (ﷺ) said, “That of a warrior whose horse is martyred and he is martyred as well.”

(١٨٥٢٦) عبداللہ بن حبشی فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے افضل اعمال کے بارے میں سوال کیا گیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ایسا ایمان جس میں شک نہ ہو اور جہاد جس میں خیانت نہ ہو اور مقبول حج۔ کہا گیا : کونسی نماز افضل ہے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : لمبے قیام والی۔ کہا گیا : صدقہ کونسا افضل ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کم مال سے خرچ کرنا۔ کہا گیا : ہجرت کونسی افضل ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس میں اللہ کی حرام کردہ چیزوں کو چھوڑ دیا۔ کہا گیا : جہاد افضل کونسا ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس نے مشرکین سے اپنے مال جان کے ساتھ جہاد کیا۔ کہا گیا : افضل قتل کونسا ہے ؟ آقا نے فرمایا : مجاہد اور اس کا گھوڑا قتل کردیا جائے۔
(18526) Abdullah bin Habshi farmate hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se afzal amal ke bare mein sawal kiya gaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Aisa imaan jis mein shak na ho aur jihad jis mein khiyanat na ho aur maqbool Hajj. Kaha gaya : Kaunsi namaz afzal hai aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Lambe qayam wali. Kaha gaya : Sadqa kaunsa afzal hai ? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Kam maal se kharch karna. Kaha gaya : Hijrat kaunsi afzal hai ? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jis mein Allah ki haram karda cheezon ko chhor diya. Kaha gaya : Jihad afzal kaunsa hai ? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jis ne mushrikeen se apne maal jaan ke saath jihad kiya. Kaha gaya : Afzal qatl kaunsa hai ? Aqa ne farmaya : Mujahid aur is ka ghora qatl kar diya jaye.
