Chapter: It is the Sunnah that messengers should not be killed
باب السنة أن لا يقتل الرسل

Salma bin Naim bin Masud narrates from his father that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), when the messengers of Musaylimah the liar came, you said: You two also say the same as him. They said: We also say the same thing that he says. You said: If there was a way to kill the messengers, I would have killed you both, but the messengers are not killed.

(١٨٧٧٦) سلمہ بن نعیم بن مسعود اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا، جب مسیلمہ کذاب کے قاصد آئے تو آپ نے فرمایا : تم دونوں بھی اس کی مثل کہتے ہو۔ انھوں نے کہا : ہم بھی وہی بات کہتے ہیں جو وہ کہتا ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا : اگر قاصدوں کو قتل کیے جانے کا طریقہ ہوتا تو میں تم دونوں کو قتل کردیتا لیکن قاصدوں کو قتل نہیں کیا جاتا۔
Salma bin Naeem bin Masood apne walid se naql farmate hain ke maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna, jab Musailma Kazab ke qasid aaye to aap ne farmaya : tum donon bhi us ki misl kehte ho. Unhon ne kaha : hum bhi wohi baat kehte hain jo woh kehta hai. Aap ne farmaya : agar qasdon ko qatal kiye jane ka tareeqa hota to main tum donon ko qatal karta lekin qasdon ko qatal nahin kiya jata.
Haritha bin Mudrib came to Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: “There was no friendship between me and the Arabs. When I passed near the mosque of the Banu Hanifa, who had embraced the false prophethood of Musaylimah, Abdullah called me and asked me to repent. Only Ibn Nawwaha did not repent. Abdullah said to him: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that an envoy should not be killed, otherwise I would strike your neck. But today you have not come as an envoy, so the judgment of Quraysh on Ka'b applies to you.' He had his neck struck in the marketplace. Then he said: 'Whoever wishes to see Ibn Nawwaha killed in the marketplace may do so.'”

(١٨٧٧٧) حارثہ بن مضرب حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) کے پاس آئے تو فرماتے ہیں کہ میرے اور عرب کے درمیان کوئی دوستی نہ تھی۔ جب میرا گذر بنو حنیفہ کی مسجد کے قریب سے ہو، ا وہ مسیلمہ پر ایمان لا چکے تھے تو حضرت عبداللہ نے ان کو بلایا اور توبہ طلب کی۔ صرف ابن نواحہ نے توبہ نہ کی۔ حضرت عبداللہ اس سے کہنے لگے : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا ہے کہ قاصد کو قتل نہ کیا جائے، وگرنہ تیری گردن اتار دیتا۔ لیکن آج آپ قاصد بن کر نہیں آئے تو قرظہ بن کعب کو حکم دیا۔ انھوں نے بازار میں گردن اتار دی۔ پھر فرمایا : جو ابن نواحہ کو بازار میں مقتول دیکھنا چاہے دیکھ سکتا ہے۔
18777 Harisa bin Muzrib Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (RA) ke pas aye to farmate hain ke mere aur Arab ke darmiyaan koi dosti na thi. Jab mera guzar Banu Hanifa ki masjid ke qareeb se ho, a wo Musailma par iman la chuke the to Hazrat Abdullah ne un ko bulaya aur tauba talab ki. Sirf Ibne Nawaha ne tauba na ki. Hazrat Abdullah us se kehne lage : maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna hai ke qasid ko qatal na kiya jaye, warna teri gardan utar deta. Lekin aaj aap qasid ban kar nahi aye to qarza ban kab ko hukm diya. Unhon ne bazaar mein gardan utar di. Phir farmaya : jo Ibne Nawaha ko bazaar mein maqtool dekhna chahe dekh sakta hai.
Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Ibn Nawahah, "If you were not a messenger, I would have killed you."

(١٨٧٧٨) حضرت عبداللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ابن نواحہ کو کہا اگر تو قاصد نہ ہوتا تو میں تجھے قتل کردیتا۔
